I apologize if I offended anyone in the forum by saying Harleys were slow heavy and bulky. My intent was to think out loud about my decision and make a distinction between what I see as a superb modern machine called the ZX14r and the Harley cruiser type bikes. I probably could have worded my thoughts differently and made no comparisons that are critical of what may be anothers passion. This being true even if were in a zx14 ninja forum.

I wouldn't apologise too much Metal.

Each to their own regarding the reasons why they ride what they do.
But the undeniable fact remains.
Harley Davidson's do not go, stop or turn compared to the vast majority of their competitors.
But then they have a sound, a look and a reputation that is plenty for some.
Good luck to them.

Me, fuck that.
But then I'm sure Harley riders feel exactly the same about Kawasaki's...

I agree with all you say yannih, this part though
"But then I'm sure Harley riders feel exactly the same about Kawasaki's..."

I doubt a lot of the harley riders have ridden a ZX14R especially with a flash etc ...
I really think if they did, they would change their mind, IF they wanted to be honest,
but you know, that old saying, "old (bad)habits die hard" or something like that ..

I was just on one of the local freeway ramps, and just gave it some throttle, in SECOND, didnt
even hit it hard, and the front end just starting pulling up ! this thing freaking screams !

It defines fun in motorcycling !! Awesome bike ! I could never go to a harley, but to each his own ...

Ride safe Brothers ...

After thrashing around on an HD Bagger in the Kootneys I have to agree with Metal - slow bulky and antiquated. No apologies needed for calling a spade a Phuken shovel.

To each their own - right!
