+1 There is nothing more exhilarating than intoxicating sound of a screamer engine. That's one of the reason I just got '09 ZX-6R that spins all the way to 16.5K

Yeah, love that scream. Very nice compliment to the 14. Congrats!

Trade it if you can bare to part with it. Buy a second if you can't. Not a lot of sport bike riders are going to be totally satisfied with one bike all the time. If ya can own a few, I say more power to ya. I you can just have one, that's a very nice situation already. Kruz always says he's not a lot faster on any of the bikes. They'll all corner at close to the same speed on the street but how nice to have a selection and to get to know the strong points of the various sized bikes.

Too tired to read any of the copy there but that is a nice looking new Ninja. They got the front right---hope they do something good with the headlights but If you ask me, they are going to stick to those godawful mirror/directionals. Those bikes are just too likely to end up at the track to give them fairing directionals. NOw the tail, there they took a step backward. I still like the old ZX-10 for looks but it takes a while for things to catch on.

I'm glad to hear KHI dumped the "Big Bang" motor cause it probably would have gone "Boom" anyway. BMW did not have to resort to any unproven alternative crankshaft designs, variable cam timing, varible intake funnels or fly by wire throttle gimmicks, they stuck to the basics and just copied the tried and true from the Big Four and threw in the finger type cam followers they developed from F1 racing. Why reinvent the wheel here, the S1000RR has a very conventional over square design i.e. lots of valve area and a short stroke for higher revs. BMW just had the balls to push the upper envelope and go to full traction control ...lawyers be damned! Oh and of course they are spinning a gazillion RPM. If you look at the torque curve they have simply moved it to the right, torque is not much different than anyone else just at a higher engine speed. I still think Honda's strong midrange approach works best for the streets and even most tracks over here. The Beemer has not faired well on the racetrack portions of the liter shootouts even though it has ultimately won every single test.
