Bro I get what your saying. I think the H2 is awesome. It's just not the ticket for drag racing at all. The H2R... ehhh maybe... But huge NO on the H2. Now LSR? Sure I can see that. Wonder who will put one through the mile first?

Now, back to the bickering !!!
Ah, Hub. I can always count on your baseless accusations and overwhelming arrogance.
What is your best lap time and the track record for the bikes there?
I noticed you didn't answer so that sort of makes you look like the arrogant one that can find the limit on tires and bikes, but not time for Sarg and his baseless accusation. I think that was addressed to you there, fairy tail quote.
So, if you think you can ride the 14 at it's limits (not yours)
I'd stay home if I had to run F-1 thru the canyons. The bottom is where the grunt is and it's from idle on up. Why would I limit the bike's performance, especially passing a car to the next corner in the tight stuff.

but the H2 wouldn't stand a chance"...I posted a video somewhere either here or on another forum...it's a drag race against a stock 14R and the Stock H2....I have to say...the H2 cleanly walked away from the zx...at half track it was easily 10 bike lengths ahead. And wasn't even wound out.The zx was pulling for all it was worth. It clearly beat that zx.By a long shot.Now...I've no clue how good the riders were...or how the H2 was set using the factory electrics.
I posted that video too on this forum. I'd rather 1441CC engin in 14r pushing 200hp with light mods running against a 1000cc supercharged h2. All day long and thrice on Sunday. However if the 300hp H2 R rears it's head for the public at 14r prices. It's on Baby! Or if an H2 R ecu appears for an H2 to improve performance and the price of the H2 plummets to 14r prices. It's on.
I'm a Kaw man, had a 6r, 9r, 12r and 14r. Love em . But if I was spending the cash from an unlimited reserve (which I am not) my money would go to the BMW (sexzi)1000rr (2015) and not the H2 with the winglets. The stock H2 in that video filmed, I think in the Philippines, competed stock to stock and for the cost of a pipe and tune a 14r is still matching beating the H2 and looking better doing it. It's important to note some folks love the look of the H2 - respect. For me on that topic though I would wager the BMW 1000rr would eat up an H2 when paired side by side on launch or when raced like a ballistic missile on the track. Even so, they are close and from a styling standpoint Kaw either got the H2 right or depending on your opinion got it wrong.
What we all might agree on is TC. I bet no one bought a 14r because it came equipped with TC. I didn't! Funny in all of the above banter I would point out that Traction Control has never entered the conversation as a selling feature. Let's face it, for folks who have been riding and burning rubber at visceral hooligan speeds we laugh at the fact that a sales strategy would even include mention of Traction Control. Laughable. I laughed at the sales dude at the stealership when he touted TC and even insulted me to suggest he would throw in "touring bags.". I told him to shut the Phuck up and then apologized and explained it was a gutteral automatic response.
It's displacement and aesthetic appeal for me. What the bike can put down and how it fits, I might even add quality and syling.
Not Traction Control. Really who cares about TC
My predictions that TC will be a dependable argument as a selling feature =

"It's just not the ticket for drag racing at all"...most likely correct here.Since there'll be so few around...it probably won't get many venues for dragging. But I see what you're saying.Which leads me back to it's purpose. It isn't built to be a drag bike. Not the H2.No one knows the handling ability yet..least they haven't said anything about it...much.I got it just to ride...and have a factory SC on there. So for me..it's gonna be an exciting ride.Guhl's been working on the ECU's for both bikes for a while now.It should be an interesting and fun time ahead.
I do think that us riders of the 14 are gonna see an SC 14 ahead....I think so.

14: So, you are "top model" I see.
H2: Unless you read the internet.
14: I've got a clue.
H2: You don't mean.
14: You know the wording of the herding of the molecules?
H2: You mean, a suck or a blow is right before it was in the...
14: ... Don't say it. The punctuation police read every post you toast.
H2: Lettuce speak in BOSShit and raz that guy for a few days.
14: Oh leave him alone and stay with the thread you drama queen!
H2: Look, I'm going to say it. When you open the throttle, normally, you sucked in all you could lung wise you dive in the pool.
14: That's right. I am all she wrote.
H2: When I flush the toilet, I have some whooshit behind me.
14: No shit?
H2: Did you just make a joke?
14: That makes you the "top model" I see.
H2: No shit!
14: Stop withe jokes. You mean, I take a breath and I take a water faucet gulp after that?
H2: I'm saying this:
N/A = It sucked in the air on the down-stroke is a piston pulling in air.
SC = It pushed in the air and waits right behind the intake valve, engine still running, never shuts that blade off.
"Top Model" = Whoever moves an event to happen sooner is the winner of the speed, moving that 'before' the last event. WOT is the name of that word, see me hand my, 'yes I can says dis card' to the police K-9 and that word corrects itself even LOL

I generally keep mine at F1, but only because it seems like some people want to see what my bike will do on the highways, so I know I can hit it hard and not really worry about raising the wheel much.
I will up it, as others have said, when the roads are less than warm and dry. However, I try not to ride in the rain, but on long trips out of state anything goes.

1 will allow the front wheel to come up about 6" off the ground and also prevent tire spin in a straight line. 0 will allow for basically uncontrolled wheelies and loss of traction. Things like traction control and abs have a much more limited ability to control loss of traction at lean angles and should not be relied upon to perform for the rider in those situations. Some people might disagree with this - but it's true and it's not just CYA that Kaw (and other manufacturers) put disclaimers in their operator manuals.
Most of us if we took our bikes to a drag strip would probably be better off in 1 than 0 and let the electronics do the hard part.

My understanding is no. I generally don't do that so I can't say for sure, but what I've read reflects that basically put the thing in KTRC 1 and let her rip. She'll basically do everything for you except shift.
The first ride with my new pipes I had TC 1 set. I nearly thought something was wrong with my bike, in 1st it kept cutting the engine so much (like ever 1/2 second). Eventually I set it to 0, and all that power cutting stopped completely.
Frankly I'd be scared to run that and be in first gear in a turn with it cutting power like it did. So even in 1 it seems pretty aggressive as far as controlling wheel spin.

Mode 1 for me except for Winter riding when the roads are just a few degrees above freezing and wet when I go to mode 2. Wouldn't argue with any experienced racetrack refugee who prefers to turn it off for drag strip/track use but the system was designed for road use after all, which is a world away from a controlled track day environment.
