"Yeah, should be good now. I started putting my Tankslapper film on, and discovered how much harder the 14R is to put on a rear stand vs. a 10R. The bike is big and heavy (so far, any attempts to lift it have been unsuccessful), and you can't see the swingarm while you hold up the bike, which makes lining up the spools pretty tough.

I had my wife hold the bike up while I tried to lift it. No go!"

If you want to make putting the bike on the rear stand an absolute breeze, lose the rear seat cover and fit the pillion grab rail. Just lift the bike upright off the sidestand with one hand on the grab rail then locate the rear stand and push down on the handle with the other. Easy peasy in just a few seconds.

Hit the gym 5 days/week. :)

I got it on the stand tonight. It was a matter of technique. I was pushing the handle down instead of pulling it back. When I'd do that, my feet would just go airborne. :) Pull back & down instead, and the bike goes right up.

Now I just have to get that stupid fender off of there so the stand quits banging on it.

Just can't decide if I want to make my own or buy one.

I'll probably make my own. I have most of the parts on hand, including a couple of LED license plate lights.

Maybe, trouble is the first time you ride in the wet you and the back end of the bike will get covered in road crap. Only ever tried this on a bike a few years back and I put the OE fender back on after a week! JMO

Made my own:

Thanks. Got about 350 miles on it now. This is going to be a beautiful relationship. :)

Next purchase are plates. That's gonna hurt. Probably more than $500. Think I'll just bite the bullet and do that tomorrow.

After that, a SW Motech top rack & case.

THEN, a Brocks CT system and side bags.

Buwhaha, you think the plates are going to hurt? Have you priced Brocks yet? I LOVE them and it hurt really really bad to not buy them but I just couldnt come off the $2100 for them... PS check out www.motomummy.com or www.indysuperbike.com they have the Brocks for about $300 less then I could find anywhere else. One was cheaper then the other, cant remember which and dinner is ready so I am going to eat instead of looking it up :-p I would do the links proper too, but hey... I can smell dinner num num num!

Also, WHERE THE HELL DO YOU LIVE THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY $500 FOR PLATES.... GD thats just insane.

I can get the military discount straight from Brock. Yeah, I priced it. Expensive, but sure is more fun that license plates.

They cost so much because in my state, we pay sales tax at time of registration. So, the first registration sucks, but then it isn't too bad from then on out.
