Anyone have a theory why these bikes dont come with 55's ? Turn to quick for rookies to crash ? 50's are cheaper for the manufacturers ? Just throwing out questions .....

Yup yup, I have a neighbor in the US Navy and he is stationed over there with his wife and kids. He knows zero about bikes but he walked into a Kawi dealer for me and said that the rear tire size was a 55 on the showroom floor and that the suspension has six lines front sag showing (same as ours). That means they might just slap 50's on there for us drag happy Americans and not realize we want to carve too. Or it could have been a cost thing. Or a combo of the two. Those Metzlers are so bad it's obvious SOMEONE took a hit in the ass. When I put the 55 on my bike, at first I thought the suspension had been messed with. I went back, reset everything with 30 and 32 mm sag. I weigh 178-180 lbs every am after i shit. What I found was that I was dang close to stock settings. I had a little more preload rear, more rebound front and rear. That's it. Made me email john and beg the question. Now that was one bike in one dealer, but hey. It's data I didn't have. Those Internet forums over there are easily hackable. Googles translator works decent or there are a bunch of iPhone apps that help make it possible to do it seamlessly.
