Dude actually chased ya?Geez man...there's definitely some whack jobs out there.I'm sittin in the turn lane...first one up for a lefty. As I'm approachin the turn lane,I have to go by this guy in a Van.No prob.EXCEPT,I'm behind him at first. So I try to get around him at like 5 mph...mindin my own business...nothin weird or anything.Fine I get over there.I look back in my rearview...dude's like one foot from my fender.Fu%^in gave me a jolt at first. Then I got pissed. He wasn't gonna back off any,and I could go forward. He BTW was not makin the turn.He was half way between the two lanes half on my side...half on the thru traffic side.So basically,he was dangerously close to me while he also screwed it up for anyone behind him to get in that lane...OR the thru traffic lane.

Man,I put my kickstand down....started takin off my helmet.Got off my bike...started to walk back to his window...He couldn't get it rolled up fast enough! As loud as I could, I said''WTF you think you're doin here?Get yer azz off my tailend. He just sat there looking straight forward....guess he turned into a pillar of salt or somethin Anyhow...I got back on my ride...EVERYONE saw what went down.I made my turn when the light changed...dude was STILL sittin there when I glanced back over my shoulder to check my 3 o'clock.Hope dude didn't die of a heart attack or somethin.SHI^...never thought of that till now

Get off your bike like....NOW.Bears too...those guys...unpredictable.

Was rollin through a little two lane road here that kinda goes around some ranch style properties and such....BIG...fenced acreage.I'm doin at most 50...that's fine right in there.I come around this curve....cool.I see this cage parked like 200 ft ahead...guys lookin through binoculars at somethin.I slow up,look over...a Big azz Griz...with two cubs.Right in this field right next to the fenceline.I'm thinkin..." man...this is cool, think I'll turn around and check this deal here out".Not every day ya see somethin like that so easily.Ya...good thing too.I turned around on this two lane...pulled up like 40 or so feet from em...with that 'very stout secure' barbed wire fence in between us.Turn my bike off...cool...check THAT out.

Bout that time...this mother bear realized.."hey...asshole,whattya think yer doin?Plannin on gettin my cubs are ya?"She was pissed. Here I am now tryin to get back on my bike, turn the key.Amazing how such a simple deal can become so HORRIBLY complicated so fast. She fired(thank GOD)...I looked back as I was rippin outta there..she'd made the end of the fenceline..and was vritually RIGHT WHERE I HAD BEEN...standin there...just lookin at me...seemed to be thinkin...'Ya...sucka...you wanna piece o me?"...FUC#...never again.

I'd have to say...THE WEIRDEST ride I had.Got off work...like 130 AM.Get home .weather's nice...warm out.So I get dressed...get my bike.AWESOME...gonna be another awesome night ride.Ride on out to the Lake we have here..like 40 miles long. Two way road(two lane).Man,I'm cruisin..bike's running so sweet.DARK as you know what.Really...that dark.Couldn't see yer hand in front of your face type of dark.Stars everywhere.Looks like another world.I'm diggin this totally.Yep.I come over a crest of a monor lttile hill in the road.WTF?...I mean...WTF is THAT?Never seen anything like this deal here .My eyes are excellent.Even at night. But for the life of me...I couldn't put this thing together to save my life.Full beam HID...got 'IT' right in my lamps...50 ft ahead.I slow up.This deal here is as tall as my bike.I slow up some more.More.Hell,I aint about to stop, that's for sure....

I hit the horn..twice...pulled the clutch and gave er a couple good twists.THAT seemed to do it(somewhat). It did move over, but that's all.I'm thinkin..okay,I got to get past this whatever it is...so here we go.Ya...I gave er some juice.Went by it.Was a friggin big..bad lookin Mountain lion.I swear,as I glaced at it while goin by...it had this grimace on it's face like it was sayin...DUDE...F*^# with me...go ahead...I'k
ll put yer azz through the scredder"...NO shi^....it really did seem that way.Crazy stuff here!(or is it me? )

Drag, I have to admit I have been guilty of a boring review of the new 14R

Not at all buddy. I like the way you were trying to compare it with your modded 06. Have fun with it and keep us posted with what you find out. Could you give us your weight and your impression with the front end? I know kaw beefed up the 10R front end (showa) so I'm think they may have done the same with the 14R.

Suzuki knows that bird is about them. What I've read is that the busa can be enlarge to 1500cc's so there is your tiny play with your nuts here comes a cum her.

With that said, Kawi knows that tranny is up for some revisions if the press caught it now. I caught it back in '06 and I am not about to trash another one on a mis-shift... The dealer is bugging me. I have a rack within hours if I could get the up and out of here.

Like I said, I'm going to be busy once I start on the wire-fire... The bike returning to stock... Now what? It steers how and the box; I can tell if it's been wasted or I can waste one and wall it from here. I have to get a rip'inn deal to sway me, then what?

Bu comes out with something, almost looks tempting, then the brochure comes out, I'm sitting on what? Two dogs within a few months, right? That is how fast the electronics can be packed in some ripper on the grunt. And where is the grunt in 6th now?

RE: 2 reasons you shouldn't buy a 14R

I weight 190 before gear. Had a good ride today and got to push her a little harder. The front end felt well planted. I had a few corners that I ran a little wide, nothing too crazy. Not sure if it is just me a little rusty, or if I need to tune in the suspension. Right now it is still set to stock settings. I just turned 600 miles so will up the pace in the tighter stuff next time and see if any tweaking is in order. I hit about 150 down a straight passing our group to take the lead and have to say that it wound up a lot quicker in the higher rev range than my 06. The front end lifted over a bump with only a little wiggle on landing. I got a major adrenaline rush, been a while since I felt acceleration like that. I can see why people get into drag racing!

I had the traction control set on 1 and tried to break it loose. Obviously I wasn't trying that hard, but it is not obtrusive at all. I cracked the throttle in first to see how it would handle a power wheelie, and it lifted, rode a short distance and softly landed. The TC on my Ducati would throw the front in the air, noticeably stutter the engine and slam the front to the ground. If you stayed on the gas the front would come back up and repeat the process. I found it a better ride with TC off. Kawasaki seems to have done the TC right, I will be leaving this one on.

It's got me thinking how the 14R would be with the throttle plates removed too. I really like how compliant it is at slow speed, but it totally transformed the 06. That pull is addictive, not that it needs any more, but.....
Also, not sure how the electronics would handle removing the plates, whether it would screw with the TC. still need to get a pipe, power commander etc as soon as the aftermarket catches up.

Yep, the plates/ign/fuel drop are the Ksid, so I'd try the fuel/ign drop... Who cares! You lost the air drop so you are now the subthrottle... If you think that fuel/ign will bring down 2/3rds the drop? No, I think it is now, 2/3rds over you go on your head!

Remember that nasty lag on the '06 is almost par with sub removed, but yeah, you still get a twitch-bump. That means, you hair trigger your throttle to zero, bump over a wrist reflex on the chassis upset, your hand is not as quick to notice as the sub... Ask me. That is some hairy twitching it gets away = No subs!!!

<<< More than I want to remember.

Hub is BACK!
@Uknixter: The TC comes from the ZX-10R and it's the best after the new Ape. Kawazaki managed to incorporate that on the ZX-14R. That's good news!
Go to Bikeland and read up on flies removal you may have to get a guhl reflash... not sure! Just the fact that you thought of it though... I'm dying to see a 1st gen with no flies and a good pipe against the 14R. Like I said I knew the closer you get to red line the further a 14 was going to fall behind.
Eat up my man, I was hoping you were above 200lbs. I'm thinking you're going to get by with a few clicks. How did your 06 feel suspensions wise?

Remember that nasty lag on the '06 is almost par with sub removed, but yeah, you still get a twitch-bump.

Tell me about it! Brock's map smoothed it out big time, but it's still there. Will a custom tune help!

Your territory. Those flies are part of Kskid/lift. I'd be curious. I'm sure you'll see a spike maybe. Lets just stick with stock, no aftmk add-ons. Kskid still knows a code or two, we see too much of sub not in the loop, The rpm vs. sub's rpm says = Let me pick a light, I have no clue? One is red for oil. That is not it. That other read-one is that will blink or the yellow will spike more like it.

Yeah, so think the X meets Y and = Z ain't gonna happen = Limpspikes at the dash? Good luck! I'm buying the electronics because that K is turtle> Every time I mess with it, stock says I got your balls buy the book! R'ead up, it won't tell you where to look on the dash... You guess ABS is yellow blink... Watt do you stink? Smells like?

Open to page X. hit the mouse left click or stab Y... You see Z'yellow I see read, Only if I had a K keddy ready steady, the wet 100% cotton briefs is me knows where to skid on.

WOT Else?

Hats a new bag of tricks... Watch it wall it.

Back to Chris and the wide glide.

You said it and I read it.

Two testsweeps... Watch it, watch it [sit]?

My GL for Glides Lots better than your wide glide?

That is saying, two are feeling the wide angle lens. Was it the front end beef change or the who has what going wide? Match pitch degree angles from one gen to the otheR. I think I'm growing some R's for revision? Nice try, butt not dis roundie?

1. Two feelings of widening out? I'd have to slow walk it first.
2. HP of the ad dept had more robusthe balls with the ad leading up to. They should have thrown that in the bike! Shame!
3. Trans the WALL x's Gen-1 + Gen-R
4. ????

I know there are plus IS that it? Love to play in the grass with the neighbor leaving his atc tracks on my driveway is jump off my curb. Can you imagine I use his driveways ass a testskid? LOL
