Yeah nasty! I know. My buddy that rides almost as much as me and I did some figuring. If I take into account the # of times I have been up there, quite a few with the busa, and the length of time I spent wrapped out, about 2 total full seconds banging the rev limiter, my seat o the pants says I was doing about 174-176? That is my guess. At those speeds I am always focused so far ahead that the instruments are the last thing on my mind. I must say, THIS BIKE IS LIKE NO OTHER. The feel of absolute confidence at that speed was almost scary, made you want more. I wanted sixth so bad. I knew I had a finite amount of space and I knew sixth was gonna fing launch me again. I was scared, I will say that. But, I was aboard the baddest most capable machine I have ever been within ten feet of. I must have just flat out quietly dissapeared. I bet it was eerie as shit from wayyyyyy back there. :)

The next jerk off to call my motorcycle a crotch rocket is getting his nose broken. I take offense to that term.

It's the derogatory way they say it that gets to me.

Tell them to line up against you straight line or curvy road. Hell most bikers don't ride more than a couple hundred miles at a time and I'm sure I could do a 600 mile day on the 14. And I plan to prove it in June.

There are only a few bike I wouldn't challenge in distance, the gold wing being one, and my 1800 vtx the other. I rode that thing 16 straight hours on a trip to Dallas once. Only stopping for fuel, water and only 3 times for more than a 10-15 min stop.

Otherwise straight line... Not much else can touch us, and if they want to race curves, they are already on a "crotch rocket" :-)

Or... You could breach their nose ;-)

"It's the derogatory way they say it that gets to me"...well of course it's derogatory...they're jealous.I just laugh when they say.."I thought you'd be riding a Harley"...I tell em..."yeah,I had a couple of those...nice bikes(I HAVE to save their feelings here cause it's Harley riders that say it)...but no thanks..I needed something with more.......performance".....;)

"The next jerk off to call my motorcycle a crotch rocket is getting his broken nose. I take offense to that term."

Nasty, pay them no mind, "ignorance is bliss" to some people, I had a guy say something like, "I thought you would be riding a harley". I just laughed and said " I like a bike that performs" and went on to tell him that I traded rides with my friend back in the 80's, I rode his totally built harley, and he rode my almost stock GS 1100, we got back and he said "man this thing is fast". I got back and said (to myself) "wheres the beef" !

Then I went on to explain to him, that my new ride has well over twice the horsepower (about 2-1/2 more) than my old GS1100 did, and he just looked amazed ......

They don't get it! No one does. This bike is different. It can't be compared to anything else. Only those of us that ride them truly 'know'. It is that absolute capability that comes along with the radical velocity. Most riders think in terms of their frame of reference and this bike shatters all that.

'Crotch rocket'. A fella called my 14R a crotch rocket at the grocery store on Wednesday and I looked him in the eye and just said 'fuck off'. I am tired of trying to educate idiots. I like the nose violation idea! :)

It won't stop raining here, guess I'm not gonna be running all over bitches today... I'm tired of riding in the rain.

Dude Cblast I came off of vintage motorcycles and cruisers before I bought the 14r. The first time even rode a 14 was less than a month ago when I went to pick mine up from the dealership. Now I can't possibly imagine ever going back to a lesser bike as my main ride. But I do plan to still use my '78 kz650 as my main commuter bike though. Love that thing! The thrill and comfort of riding the 14 is something those people just don't get. Since its a sportbike they think it has to be the most uncomfortable thing to ride. Wrong! They think cause it has 200hp, it has to be ridden hard and fast like a jackass 17 yr old on his thrashed 600, and has way too much power. Wrong!... Partly wrong anyway, we all like to play sometimes otherwise we wouldn't have bought the machine. Some sportbike riders I have talked to think its too big and heavy, and pointless to have a sportbike with that much power, they don't even get it!

You got it right Cblast they just don't know, but we know.

I'm gonna keep on kicking names and taking ass!

Cblast it's not a crotch, man most people just ask me questions about my space suit when I dismount and not the bike - LOL.

Had a great ride this weekend, weather was outstanding and rode in a pack wirh three other 14 riders I met on the forum. Amazing what this bike can do and still be comfortable doing it. I Love my MTV or my ZX 14!!!

Got in a couple hours riding on the ZedXpress yesterday. Kinda surprising considering the 12" of snow that fell at my place on Wednesday. I plow the dirt road from my house to pavement, and mother nature does the rest this time of year with lots of sun and low humidity.

I've long since stopped caring about terms like crotch rocket, etc. as it simply doesn't matter. I just buy and ride whatever I want, and am pretty much oblivious to the comments of others.

I didn't buy the Ninja just because of it's big engine or quarter mile times, but rather as the latest in my long line of sport tourers. And as a sport tourer, this bike is nearly flawless due to it's comfort, ride quality, and handling. Goodies such as TC and a slipper clutch only add to it's appeal.

My Aprilia V-twin and Triumph triple are often described as bikes with character, but the ZX is one Japanese bike that oozes with character. Crank the throttle and that becomes readily apparent

The ZX14R is a great all-rounder, and that's all I could ask for ...(pic from last fall)

Got in 300miles today and towards the end of my ride I came across a random zx10r and we rode around together for awhile racing and wheelies and fun shit. Kicked his ass in every department except the wheelies... We dragged only once, don't know how I managed to beat him. Bad launch(let the clutch out too quick) missed third and lost speed banging the rev limiter, rear tire slipped with the front in the air when I finally got it into third and realized right that very instant I need a steering damper in case that ever happens again, and somehow I stayed ahead the whole time except at the launch. Boom, boys!
Is it ok that Delilah makes my pants feel tight!?
