Thanks Kruz! I used to live in NE and thought it was all about HP then I moved to TX! Like Hub said, it's in the hand. When the 14R came out, I read the little "article" you wrote about Ryan Schnitz comparing the new 14 to an old Busa or 14 and found out the differences in performance isn't that great which was later confirmed by Smokin. 0.37 second is nothing to me as I have so much more to learn. Same thing for 99% of the guys here so when they talked about the differences in HP and TQ it made me laugh cause they don't even use it.
ZXracer you said you went with light mods on your older bike in a thread and if your old or new bike is upgraded as mine, show me the proofs. So let's not even go there. As far as carpenter racing, like I said I don't need power I can't use. Maybe if I hit a wall during LSR MAYBE! As far as drag racing I respect the sport but my screen name which I have never changed has nothing to do with that. The guys I said I don't respect are guys like you who gets powerful machines and don't push it. Like I said, it's like owning a Ferrari and having no tickets. The kind of racing you do is like car street racing. It's just about who has the money and latest machine. Roll ons involve no skills and you don't have to attend a bike night for bike nights to be populated by guys like you. If you're upset about it, it's just too bad. You went crazy on a few members here and YOU started getting personal, I had to put you back in your place. Check my posts, before you showed up it was about the 14 and 14R no persons involve but some of the guys here wear their heart of their sleeves and their bikes is an extension of their private part. Why get so mad when there is cialis LOL. It's like a child throwing a tantrum, you need a time out card. If you want to debate facts, you're welcome to enter the discussion but riding on Smokin exploits and using that as valuable arguments is childish. Especially when you bike don't see the drag strip. Also, it's not because I own something, I can't point out its defaults au contraire. You see racer all the time saying their bike is crap. Same goes with Cblast, I would have love to see his face when he found out a stock euro ZX-14 went 205MPH.
Anyways, there is no need to get upset, you guys made the right choice for the kind of riding you do, the ZX-14R is best. Check my ZX-14 upgrade thread, I even told people to get a 14R if they wanted straight line speed. It's just not the ultimate weapon you think it is and an S1000RR can compete with it on the drag strip while the ZX-14/14R can't compete with an S1000RR in the twisties. $15000 gives you .37 second and although the Beemer is still more expensive you get more value since you can excel at two different sport with the machine add to that the heated grip on a bike that is not supposed to be a sport tourer. That pretty much sum it up.
Wolf thanks for the compliments, you're far too kind. Enjoy your ride I totally understand where you coming from.
