Hub, here's the Panigale 1299 (if you can see the photos, I'm hosting them from a different site), same basic size as the 959 in the prior photos, they're physically a smaller machine, more like a supersport but the ergonomics fit me fine.

@Rook, I'm just not into the basic black look anymore, experimenting with different colored outfits, have two new Berik jackets on the way, identical style to the High Viz green/black/white one in my prior post but one is in blue/black/white and the other in red/black/white. Should have them by tomorrow.

Hi John.

It has to do with installing an SSL certificate on the site. Prior to that time (last week or so), images and links to other messages/threads were saved as "http://" and when those try to load in certain browsers in an "https://" page, they don't work properly.

It may take a few days to sort it out.

Rook, here's the new Berik jackets I ordered, arriving sometime today.

I really like the look, fit, quality and pricing of the Berik's, not available here in North America, you have to go to FC Moto in Germany to get them.

About $270 delivered including UPS shipping, customs and import fees. Less than half the price of Dainese and equal quality.

They have CE armour in the shoulders and elbows, it's internal though instead of attaching to the outside of the jacket like Dainerse.

I would always go for a more complex scheme in gear too but for the Ducati, I'd rather let the bike have center stage. If I were into building a riding gear wardrobe like you, I'd probably look into leathers designed for Ducati. This is the first one I came across but it's a good example. Pretty eye catching too.

The first one in your last post. The gas tank looks like orange leather pants. If you rested a boot with the toe pointed out to the side on the foot peg, it would complete the picture.

Rook I don't see it but it might be like one of those paintings where there are hidden images if you know where to focus....

That IS nice! The only improvement I can imagine is some blue on the jacket. You're approximately matching the proportions of black, white and red that the bike has. More blue, you'd hit a bullseye! The helmet's perfect.

Hey Rook, look very closely, the jacket does have blue accents all over it, they are just dark blue, almost black, so very subtle.

Aprilia Extrema in fluro red on white with some green accents, the Berik jacket red is almost a dead on match.

Same exact gear on both bikes but to my eye it works better against the Losail Silver paint on the RSV4.

All black pants with the white Dainese lettering might work better on the Pearl White Extrema. But to paraphrase Crude Rudy, "Who cares as long as the chicks dig it?

My thought is that this bike has very flashy livery already so it might be best tone it down a bit with the all black Dainese pants?

It's hard not to be critical with all the options. They all look good. The Dainese top and bottom black and white is the best. It sets you off from the bike and it harmonizes with it at the same time. The yellow and green (which looks yellow to me) don't have a place in this bike/human combination. Would I say a guy looked goofy wearing yellow and green with his Ducati? Heck no! ...just looking at it with a critical eye. Your #1 pick looks good. I wish the color in the gloves should be a lot more yellowish to match the other greens. The greens of the suit look bright yellow. I wouldn't have identified that color as green at all. ...but words are one thing and colors are another. What you call a color isn't necessarily what most others call it. I call teal green but most people call it blue.

I really like this get up, the white leather pants really set it off...

The last one will work with any bike but that's the kind of look I'd go with on the Ducatis. I didn't know your two Ducatis looked so similar. Except for the fender, they look identical. ...and the 1299 is what, twelve years old? I suppose the 900 feels a little smaller? It looks just like the legendary 1299 though. Being such a classic, there has been no need to update the look.
