sounds to me like you invested too much into your 06 and your a little late to the plate......and you would rather be riding on the new r model.
how come nobody that owns one doesn't knocks it... but ones that don't own one or didn't order one do ?

Mark43 where do you come up with this stuff? Do you not think if I wanted a new 14R I couldn't just trot on down to the dealer and pick one up? The fact is I love the new 14R, think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread and I'm ecstatic for the guys who got one.......but that doesn't mean I want one. Wrong bike for the type of riding I enjoy doing nowadays. I keep my '06 around cause it was long ago paid for but I wouldn't buy another one. What's wrong with that, can't people change what they like over time? I just prefer the nimble handling and high revving motors on the literbikes and supersports right now.

One last item Mark, I got a garage full of bikes, five at the moment and the guys around here have heard me rag about something on everyone of them. No bike is perfect, don't be so sensitive, no one's singling out the new R, we bust on every bike around here, no one gets a pass..lool!

Mark you're almost funny with ur food stamp joke, actually it is so not funny that it is funny. lol
You should have kept quiet but now we know what you are about. You re a contradiction something like a shemale lol: a dude who gets a busa for sport touring and rare acceleration over 100. Then you found out you could do that with more comfort.loool.... but how would you justify the switch without facing eternal damnation loool All you had to do is patiently wait for when kaw would take over...this way you can hide in the pool of other busa riders who are crossing to where the grass is greener. Don't bother with jokes you're funny just being serious. lol
your who told you what?... if you have something negative to say keep it for yourself? lol no surprise my DAD told me women like honesty only when you're saying good things about them!
This is a forum we can dis....cuss on and on.....and anyways every time you give your imput... lol then again you're the don't knee down but only do bursts over 100 mph guy. You know bm makes a nice tourer for that kind of riding.
I get it you want us to do the mods thread lol oh wait it's already in most of our signatures...

I almost forgot, so you couldn't care about the old bike looks but like the new 1 lool it's almost the same bike... come on buddy. Or maybe I'm wrong the pipes remind you of your busa. No wonder.

Green didn't mean to get you going again. I heard this dealer had a 14R and I got excited I had to check it out. I gave a couple of negative feedbacks and everybody gets exited and forget the positive. My main drawback was the weight... 35 plus lbs is going to feel like 35lbs. After I tilted her I left to hop on mine took the side stand off and balanced it... I had a big smile on my face. Almost hit a deer on my way back but the versah pads performed great and I had less weight to stop. Again a smile on my face. I know a full system will get the new 1 lighter as well but I don't have enough food stamps for the bike and a brock system lol. kaw got me to spend on a system and they want me to do it twice apparently. I know I could live the oem on but no thanks.Enjoy you bird we're just talking.

Dang Mad, that new BMW S1000RR would be right up your alley then. Don't get me wrong, I hate them things after about 30 minutes of droning on the freeway but hit the twisties and I can ride all day long. You're having so much fun you don't notice the wrist, hip, back and neck pain....lol!

I'm leaning toward that Kruz, to me it is an 08 zx-10 with a lot of top end. lool
Maybe I can get a nice leftover next year. It will take me years and some crashes to master it but once I get the skills up to the bike potential...

You will be flying on that thing before too long. I could not turn my 14 worth a darn until a couple years on the smaller bikes. Now I get on the 14 and literally scrape pegs in the turns. The liters and especially the 600s are way less intimidating, your cornering speed will go up dramatically....trust me on this, you are going to love it!

To be honest Kruz, I'm not sure this 56 yr. old body can even handle the ergos of a liter....but I bet it'd be fun trying! :)

I'm planning to head to the 3 twisted sisters (if it's what you were referring to)after my suspension work and new corsa rosso on the bike. Going with the 55 rear it's going to be fun!!!

You can do it but keep your mission profile short , maybe 30 minutes until you get adapted to the ergos. My wrists, knees, lower back and especially neck have bothered me from time to time but your body will eventually strengthen and adapt over time. I did a total of 400 miles on liters this weekend, beat me up but I can't wait to go again!

Mark,

You're late for the party. What do you mean on and on? On and off goes the parts you mean. I think it is about time we install the old parts from the original bike. That bike was designed with ABS since inception. Not my fault corporate keeps rubbing their chest, then wiping their ass with that paper trick.

Dis is taking aim > Shoving that toilet paper up dare, keeping that tuna locked and loaded. Here, I've stopped for the evening. Sue she, turn around and show them the little round wood carving I'm not done, fine tuning that sword.

Grn, Look fella, you made a choice to change up. Pat on the back, guy. Go for it. Life is short and all that. Do your thing. Now, relax. Take a breath. I don't need to buy over counter what is already in production. I can wait. I'm quite happy wearing down my current ride(s). Eventually, I'll change to an R, but at the moment; I'm tied up with too many projects. I'll get there... Don't worry about that... AS IF you need to worry about what I do about choosing my next bike... No matter watt I choose.
