70 F here today, really nice, can't wait to get off work and ride my little green giant, the 6R...LOOL!
My theory on traction control, on my new 10R at least, is ride like you don't have it and if you screw up i.e. too much throttle while in a deep lean, it just might save your butt. Problem is you can overload the front end real easy in a corner and traction control can't help you there. It's a safety net but I'm not trusting my life to it.

45 Fs the limit for me and it has to be sunny with light to no wind. Anything other than that, I can wait, just not enjoyable to me.

Just got back...geez...I didn't freeze...no....but it's a tad nippy. She never got over 145 degrees temp(my baby).300+ miles now.Runnin sweet. So much to learn on this bike. The power and handling ability is most excellent.I'm in 4th,at 3000 rpms...can't feel the bike runnin barely. All the way down she's smooth as glass...response,immediate and strong, but comfortable.Nothing jumpy or jerky. She'll pop right up in first...the KTRC on "1" stops the lift at about 1 foot or so.But it doesn't like slam back down, and when lifting,it smoothly comes up...very controlled.NO drama.2nd and 3rd power ups...same deal. She brakes excellently, hauls down very quickly and smooth.
Shifting midcorner up or down is effortless and smooth.Gonna be a REAL blast come normal temps.

good going grn your the man.... always knew your were anyway....having new 14r in kaw green...got the deal done and that baby's in your house.
you moved fast to have one so soon.... one reason iam steping up from the 600 is highway between 75 to 80 little too many rpms.
did drop 3 tooth on the rear sprocket which helped some but still a 600... when you get a change if possible let me know what she turns for rpms in overdrive at those speeds .

@ Kruz TC is nice but rider skills are more important... Here is a quote from the 18 years old Scott Redding from moto 2... keep in mind he's not even a top runner: " when you lose the front it's normally not a big crash, touch wood. But you can do nothing except put your elbow down, then you're taking a risk that something else might happen. With the rear coming round, if you're quick you can catch it on the throttle. Sometimes you can't. Then it's a big crash.
when the front goes, nine times out of ten it's gone; when the rear goes, six times out of ten it's gone and four times you can save it".
I use to have lots of respect for ball player. To me anybody pushing a bike to the limit is an alien. Putting your elbow down to save the front...
I need me a track bike...
it's gna be btw the s thou, the 10R, I don't know much about the yam but we'll check it out.

Dragking,
I'm wondering if you have test ridden the 1000 rr? If I recall correctly, you are a big fella and set on putting on more mass? I'm only 6' 3" and 210-215 and the BMW is a better fit than the other liter bikes but still cramped. Looks like the Panigale is a bigger Duc as well, but judgeing by the stats it doesn't figure to alleviate the issue of ergonomics for the big and tall pilot!
I could ride the rr, but I'd ride better with another half inch or so in the wheelbase and the accompanying overall dimensions.
Are you "at home" on the 1000's? Jack Lewis tested the beemer for Motocyclist, I believe, and though he is xtra-large he was very pleased with it overall.

6'5"-222 lbs now. I'm gaining 1 lbs a week... my goal is 235 and from there tone it done to my ideal weight of 228lbs lol.
Paul & kruz: Good news about the bmer. Never got on one but heard the ergo where similar to the zx-10 which I have tried. At the end of the day I may get the 10 since it's more abundent and can be had at a bargain. Called the Bmer guys today. They don't even have leftovers. The new one will hit the ...ship in a couple of weeks. They're the hot cakes so they didn't even ask me if I wanted to be notified when they come in. I guess she's playing hard to get and I Have got to have her.

Cool. I took some pics with a 70-200 zooming lense this summer so that probably made me look too big for the 14.

I think I'm a little stockier build than you, we're identical weight but you're a couple inches taller. I was checking out the upper leg, my thigh is almost horizontal making me believe I may have longer legs but maybe a shorter upper body....could also be you have a taller saddle, mines a stocker. Looks like we have the same taste in boots...LOL!

Actually... it may be the pegs. Mine are high and back... the stock rearsets felt like a diavel's and I remember my tighs seating higher! My sargeant is as high as the stocker.
I do want the supertech R... but I'll give the sidi a try at the track. They're finally breaking in.

That's weird, I was studying those two pictures, drop a vertical line from the swingarm bolt and it looks like the tip of my boot is several inches behind it where it cuts right through the front of your boot. Almost looks like my peg placement is more rearward but it could be an optical illusion. I'm in a semi-race tuck which may change things a bit.
