Traded in my 07 14 for a New 14R today. I gotta give props to Honda East in Toledo for a great deal and a very smooth purchase. Now I have to wait for the weather in N/E Ohio to change.

Congrats man! I got the same color from the same dealer. You're right, very smooth. I called on Friday hit the bank Saturday morning and drove 2 hours north, signed papers and rode home.
And the price was the best anywhere I found in a 4 hour drive radius from Dayton.
You will love you're new ride!

Thanks guys. I'd read most of the posts here before joining, and have kept up since joining last year. This is bike number 24 for me. I have had mostly sportbikes, from my first 86 GSXR750 back in 86, to an FZR1000, R1, GSXR1000, 2 Hayabusa's, CBR900RR... and this is my second 14, so i'm no stranger to performance. I can't wait till I can see what this new one is all about. Just riding it through the parking lot at the dealer yesterday I could tell it has a lot more low end then my 07 did.

Welcome and congrats on you new Blue Missile, you definitely picked the fastest color my friend lol.
Once you can uncork the beast by getting the exhaust replaced and adjusting the fueling you'll be pleasantly surprised at how well this motorcycle does it all.

Good color choice Bubbasdad!
Here's a snowy pic back at ya! You can see what your bike would look like with 2 Bro's Carbon slip-ons and gloves on the seat and a blue tank bag, LOL.
I'm not waiting for better weather, just need to be ice sheet free to enjoy short rides anyway. Gotta get used to the incredible sound from these new exhausts. Decreased weight is already appreciated and is incentive for the rider to loose a few pounds as well, heh, heh.
I also went from an 07 14 to the R; of course the 07 was (Blue by U) blue too.

Great looking bike! Love it. I just picked up my new '13R in white with ABS a couple weeks ago after wrecking my '12 Green SE. Enjoy it and ride safe! Oh I recommend a Corbin seat, help-blocks, lower pegs and a throttle lock!
OH and get rid of that UGLY exhaust lol!

I agree with the Corbin. Corbins have been hit and miss for me over the years, depending on the bike. It worked great on my 07. Heres the problem, though the Corbin from my 07 does fit on the new one, its loose in the rear and does not fit up to the rear plastic very well. Theres a few big gaps. I am going to sell it and get a new one. I'll put it on here first before putting it on ebay. The bar riser blocks from the 07 worked perfect.
As far as an exhaust goes, it will be a little while. I just bought my wife a new horse trailer and paid cash for it, so my toy money is used up for a little while. Probably go with a full system though when the funds become available.

Might be worth it to wait for a full system, programs are starting to come out where you can flash your ECU and cusomize it to your liking, instead of going with the PCV, at least this is what I have been hearing, or I guess you could just go with Brocks set up....

Dude, that metallic blue, is beautiful. I also like the lip stick red. It's kinda like a hot prostitute, you want to get her home for a ride, but you don't necessarily want to be seen out with her. I am not sure what year, but they offerred a candy orange, black two tone, special edition. Wow that was a sexy looking bike. Financially I was in the red the year it came out, but I swore not to let another special edition get away. Hence the Hulk green! Cheers boys.
