map review

Okay guys-here's what I have.New TiForce high mount pipes.Just comparing to performance before and after-obviously a lot lighter feeling(the handling).Jeff's map installed-very good acceleration-no stumbling,no flat spots.I DID NOT DO ANY full on throttle take offs yet-like to make er wheelie. But the power is instantaneous and strong-stronger than before with the stock cans-So...my dilemma.....I honestly can't really tell if it's the map(yet)or the pipes that have caused my bike to run "better".I loaded a Muzzy map for my mods as well-and ran that to see if there were any differences. In truth I can't tell yet.I will say-the muzzy map "seemed" to want to loft the frontend at low speed powerons-but as I said-I didn't really try that as I should have with Jeff's map.But power delivery with his map was excellent-cruise and roll ons very strong-stronger than before, that's for sure.I am gonna do the low speed deals here tomorrow and see how she does.So far-I give Jeff's map two thumbs up.Idle was smooth and steady.Pipes sound AWESOME BTW.

Good deal blue. I had run the DJ map for the muzzy and had tried the 211 muzzy DJ map for a year and a half before putting Jeffs map in and comparing now to then it's a huge difference to me. She is even running 2 bars cooler. Make sure you follow his directions on the TPS setting because if you don't get a true 0% reading off throttle it'll through the whole map off across the board.

Thanks Heathun-ya-I can't complain AT ALL-VERY VERY Happy with the whole deal.Pics soon Bad!!Yeah Heathun-I went to check the Throttle position settings last night(before I got the pipes)-I had already set that and the accel feature like three or four days ago.I had then a zero reading(on the position) with his settings. When I went out today to install my pipes and check his map-my throttle position had changed to 2% at closed. If I gave it a tad of backpressure,it would read zero again.Okay-Then,when I loaded the Muzzy map,and checked TP again-it was reading zero.So I don't know what that was about. It's reading zero now.Going to ride today and use the muzzy map just for comparo to Jeff's-didn't take er out with the Muzzy-only to the parking lot across the street to see how the "wheelie factor" was.She pops right up-that's for sure-much better than before!!!

Okay-just finished my assessment of the two different maps. Here it is........Muzzy map-Very Very smooth.Crisp throttle response.Cooler?-same as always for my bike.Fuel mileage-can't tell yet.Plenty of torque-rollons-fast,strong,no gltches anywhere at any rpm,any gear. Okay-Jeff's map.........Virtually identical in the above areas.Cooler? It seemed the same as always?Power delivery-very good-strong,smooth.No glitches in this map.Decel popping-ALMOST non-existent(tiny bit at lower gear, high rpm throttle closing.Nothing serious at all.Powerband-on both-VERY STRONG and smooth.Muzzy map-virtually no decel pop-can't tell the two maps apart. And my overall impression-I give the muzzy map a "slight" edge.Either map would be VERY GOOD to run.I'm VERY happy with the two maps.I say that because the main thing I noticed between the two was-fuel smell.Jeff's map IS richer on the bottom. After Monster's experience with plugs-I am a tad leery of running Jeff's map for any extended period. But it is a keeper. As 1 Bad said-"most guys don't know what a good running bike is"....there's some truth in that I think, because in all honesty,I can't tell if my performance gains(and they are VERY substantial) are due to the loss of weight from the stock pipes, and the combination of having a freer flowing exhaust,or the maps.Sorry-they both perform as far as I can tell-excellent.I will say that Jeff IMO KNOWS what he's doing-most definitely.Thing is-my bike ran so well before the pipes and such that it's really difficult to "add" to that-but both maps definitely seem fine. And my bike is running definitely BETTER.In looking at the two maps-I will say-with virtually identical results(except mileage and heat-which I couldn't really tell)-they are miles apart from each other-not just a generic map-definitely two different map setups.I'm NOT finished using Jeff's map by any means.

Yep-THAT was my assessment.I got a call from Jeff(out of the blue)-he asked me what was the problem with my map and performance.I told him exactly what I posted here.It wasn't good enough he said.It needs to be better.Okay-that's cool-so-on the phone he asked if I wanted to do the settings through him online,or send me the new map with his new settings in it.I told him-well,it'd be easier if you wrote the map and sent it.Okay-he was cool with that. So,on the phone he began asking what were the symptoms of what my bike was acting like-and he started making changes in the map.We talked about performance(concerning my bike)and he was NOT willing to let it rest anything like it was that I described. He did the changes-told me why,and said"if you can't see a difference between my(his) map and Muzzy's-somethings not right-there should be no doubt as to which map is performing better".Okay-so,he sent my map back-I told I'd load it tonight, and test er out tomorrow,I couldn't wait that long.I loaded his map, reset the throttle settings and acel pump.Started her up and went out for a short trial.I must say right here-I didn't think it would be "much"different-some,yeah,but when I twisted the wick-this bike was like a different thing altogether.I mean.had I not been "slightly"cautious, she would have gotten away from me.Friggin accelleration is pretty much dangerous if yer not watchin what yer doin!!!.This baby lofts SO easily now-like night and day-that's no BS.NO hint of hesitation in throttle response.Like the other guys here that reported theirs were like a different bike-Ya-I know what they're talking about now.VERY VERY VERY satisfied.Way cool-totally stoked with this deal here. Thanks Jeff if yer reading this-sincerely-thanks.I'd say to Monster-Call Jeff and let him make this right with ya-he can fine tune yer ride from where it's at to something VERY cool!!!!There is now NO QUESTION about "can he tune a bike"-this guy KNOWS what he's doing-I'll say that.Call him Monster-he can fix your map. PS-the fuel smell has very much diminished.I'll say-when I got this bike and started riding,I never thought about"well,it's a lot of bike,I better be careful"Never did I think like that.I'm thinking along those lines nowLOL!!!WooooHooooo!!!!Wicked-just wicked.
