I'm looking to do a few things to make my 07 ZX14 a little more comfortable for long distance riding. Anyone have any suggestions such as seat, handle bar risers, ect... ? I have heard of double stacking bar risers, is that possible?

I went with the LSL plate/bar combo and a Concours seat. The LSL setup is kinda expensive but I needed more rise than what the other risers would give you. I'm not a fan of the look of the Concours seat but it makes a big difference for those long rides. I like that you can easily swap back to the stock seat when you want.

joel,
i rode several hundred miles on the concours seat yesterday, (its the one listed for sale) all i did was change the mounting brackets to fit my zx14 (if you buy it they will come with the stock kawi concours brackets) as i need the ones for my seat...as for ride..no doubt it has a more wrapped around your but feel vs the zx stock seat...kind of cradles your but vs the cutting feel that i get from the zx seat. I would keep the seat but have had a sargent on order for several weeks (paid in advance) and my friend just wants the cash so she can buy more stuff for her c14. when she gave me the seat to list for sale, i had to try it on my bike....its a nice seat and should have been what kawi put on the zx from the factory... I think the stock zx seat flat out sucks pig balls (get the pic, dont care for it much) the coni seat is a vast improvment in comfort. normally 50-100 miles on the zx seat and my ass is killing me, shifting around standing up while riding etc....the coni made yesterday effortless.

For the cost the Concours seat cannot be beat. I had mine recovered in carbon fiber style covering. But I am sure it does not measure up to a Sargent seat I also suggest bar risers and a taller windshield for long distance. I found the single set of bar risers was good enough for me but it the opinion varies with your height, weight and physical condition.

Bought an Airhawk cushion.
Works great for the motorway/autobahn stretches.
Giving it the first real test next Sunday with 1500km non-stop Oslo-Brussels.

VooDoo, which size did you buy? They seem to be avaialble in differmnet sizes and I wondered which one fitted the ZZR the best.

GSIG:
Bought the medium size Airhawk2 and boy what a dream to ride on the autobahn.
However i changed my plan on going straight to Brussels a little due to NICE weather.
Went from home via Oslo, Gothenburg,Copenhagen, the ferry Rødby-Puttgarden, and then down to Koeterberg in sauerland Germany. Approx 1300km/807miles.
Started with -4c at 5 o'clock in the morning back home, driving trough snow over the highest point of the road back home (600m above sea level).
Got to Oslo, only -1c, still a bit cold. Temperature raised to 4c when i got to Gothenburg and kept on rising untill it reached 28c south of Hannover Germany...
Arrived Koeterberg at 1900 in the evening still in good shape.. No pain in my arse!!
Just love the Airhawk for this type of riding. After youhave adjusted the right ammount of air its exellent.
During the night it got windy and rainy and i feared a wet day for my 700km/435miles trip to Brussels Adenau.
Waited until 10 and started on wet tarmac. But after only a few miles the fog ifted and the roads dried up. Spent the day cruising on twisty German Bundesstrasse. The Navigon selected a wonderful route based on blocking motorways and select scenic route.
Arrived Brussels in the evening still in good shape...
The Airhawk is to stay on my bike for the long stretches...

Alright it has been awhile since I have been on here, now that I am back I will try to get here more often. It is time to do some work with this Beast, it is still stock. I know that I want to start out with a Brocks Full Exhasut System, and a PCV. Is there any more suggest that you guys have while I am getting into this. I don't want to keep going into and this Beast start PIMPING me. Dose anybody recomend taking off the secondary butterfly? Dose the PCV take away my gear indicator? Looking for some help.

Lose the secondaries.PCV...lost gear indicator?...not that I've heard.IVAN's Tre...ya...you'll lose your gear indicator.
16/42 or 43 gearing is good.Rifleman's 1/5th throttle mod is another good enhancement.Muzzy 4 degree adjustable trigger is also a good upgrade.
