Road Trip Roadside Assistance
05/18/11 12:29 PM

I'm hitting the road Friday morning.
The plan is to ride Portland to Salt Lake City... Salt Lake City to Phoenix... Phoenix to Palm Springs... Palm Springs to Redding... Redding to Washington state.

Anyone willing to offer assistance, as far as tools and/or a truck incase of a breakdown or coughcrashcoughcough (along that route)...
Please PM me you contact info.

You are going to have a blast in AZ. Be careful anyway. You know, the speed demons I knew in my youth used to always say "never SH-t in your own back yard" meaning if you are going to go fast do it where others do not know who you are. As I have grown older, I have come to disagree. Your own back yard is the back yard you know the best. You know when where and if you can sneak a dump if you feel the urge. LOL Be careful.

How many days you be gone for Dog?

I know what you mean, Rook... but we'll see how that goes.

I told the woman I'd be gone for four days... but we'll see how that goes as well.

Armed and ready...

Only bittersweet part of a road trip is how dirty she gets by the end, but then again she like it dirty! hehe

They'll be shitty cell phone pics, but will do.

Thanks... wasn't gonna do the duct covers, but a hail stone cracked the left stocker.

Yes she does... probably have to hose 'er down after the trip.

BTW... before some else says something, I realized the saddle bags were backwards after I posted that pic... They still held strong to 160mph on last nights "test ride". lol
SOOOO pumped to go... will be hard to sleep tonight.

Wanna thank the guys that offered to help out with my trip... Sorry I wasn't able to meet up with any of you this round... I will be back in Cali soon!

My trip was fantastic! I feel high from it... seriously!

Actually, the original plan went out the window on the first day when the buddy I was supposed to be riding with threw a tantrum and then threw in the towell... long story, I won't bore you guys with it.

So I spent 4 days enjoying the mountains of Oregon and Cali, then headed up the coast towards home (Washington state). I put about 2500 miles on the bike... less than 500 were freeway.

Half a dozen thunder storms, one "performance award", thousands of corners, and infinite smiles!

I only have a few pics, and they are all from the last day. I got a new phone, just before the trip, and didn't figure out I hadn't been using the camera correctly until the end. Sorry Bean.

The Trees of Mystery:

Turnout on the southern Oregon coast:

The Prehistoric Gardens:

Snacks!

Wish I wasn't technologically challenged and had pictures of the mountains to share. Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen this time of year!
