Gear indicator on my dash has started flakin' out: Usually happens when shifting, or just after, and the numbers jump around, usually + 1 gear, but sometimes more, before eventually settling on the correct gear after that 'hunting'. I realize now that this actually probably started way back and started in the form of displaying just a dash, instead of a number, as though I had missed a gear, when I hadn't.
Don't get me wrong: This isn't a huge problem ... but I got to thinking, cuz my battery tender recently started blinking red and never turning green, which indicates the battery isn't being charged. So I'm thinking my battery may be on its way out.
So the question: Could the gear indicator be affected by a dying or low battery? The bike runs flawlessly. I know these days with more and more modern electronics on bikes, a low battery can result in some seemingly illogical issues.
Thanks dudes ...
