What is this element
04/25/20 6:11 PM

I opened the couch today and found in the ECU area such a loose element.
Does anyone know where it should be glued (it is glued with double-sided adhesive tape) and what is it for?

A tracker? Is it electrical in nature?MAYBE a spacer for something in there?

the thing is, nothing connects to it. There is one hole blinded with some white substance (second photo)

Is this a used bike? First time with the seat off?

The 'white substance' reminds me of a factory sealant over a circuit or something.IDK.Waterproofing maybe? So how heavy is this?Feel solid,or what.I'm thinkin a spacer for something back there.(homemade).Does it seem t5o fit any openings around there?Maybe a deal to secure a fitment in there?Around the ecu.Maybe under the ecu.

BTW,the ecu there looks a bit different.Does it have a rubber boot that it's pushed into?To me,it doesn't look like the ecu is in a rubber boot.Just a solid plastic 'frame'.

I just had my ECU out and don't recall anything that looks like that item in your picture.

Also, that isn't the ECU in the pic.

Those three connectors go into an electrical box that sits ON TOP of the ECU in the rubber sleeve.

Looks like some kind of homemade spacer to me also.

Good observation.Been a while since I saw my ECU connectors.Got the three plugs confused with my H2 ECU.

Gentlemen, you focus on the details - Maybe this is not the ECU, but some other driver, under it is another - not important. I mean "something".
Hub Yes, the motorcycle is new and in fact this "something" resembles some type of anti-theft protection, such as the one that buzzes at the gate in the store.
I will go to the service and ask maybe they know.

Let us know what the service desk states it is.

I have never seen one under my couch.

It's the fuel pump/headlight/fan relay box on top of the ECU. I doubt that is a factory part, nor would they execute it like that. It could be what you mentioned.

Well, the authorized service said that this is not a motorcycle element, only a magnetic contactor from the building's alarm system and no one knows how it got under the sofa of my motorcycle.
Well what "professionals" ...
