Did a search on these tires and can't seem to find much on them. I just ordered a new set on the internet for $256.00 front and back. Blue do you have any new reveiws on these tires? Or anyone for that matter.

I had a set on my fz1 before I sold it. I didnt get to put many miles on them before selling, maybe 1k. They stick well and looked new after 1k miles. The tread pattern is pretty cool looking. I would buy another set.

I recently put a set on my bike. Took a 200 mile ride last weekend to break 'em in. Going to a track day at Miller Motorsports Park tomorrow. I'll let you know how they work... -bg

They don't grip well in gravel But they excel at cornering and holding a line at major lean angles-warm or cold.Actually...I'm a little reluctant to push them to their limits-WHATEVER that may be....IDK.I've had mine up to around 130 cornering, yet STILL have not reached the edge!No feeling of grip loss, and they stayed planted and held the line without any drama).I REALLY don't want to get a ticket at 130!So.....the track would be the place for me to really find out. They did however hold great at 130,leaned as far as I could get at that speed with that curve.I know...not much help.I went out last December-they were new.I hit a curve...a righthander...and was actually TOO fast IMO for the conditions(apparently NOT LOL)-35 degrees out(no,not 130 at this one time).Perhaps I just "got lucky",but tippin her in at the speed I was goin(speed limit was 50...I was WAY above that) was one of those "pucker" moments-I thought for sure she wouldn't stay gripped-but she did...I was pretty amazed! The road was VERY cold.It was a fairly sharp curve, but was banked slightly...which probably saved me from havin to rebuild my baby!(Props to my Guardian Angel as well!)NOW...I'm waiting for BG's review from his track day.I vote they have AT LEAST one day a month here where they allow NO cars on the road, and drop all speed limits.BIKES ONLY DAY.Ya...that'd be change I could believe in!!!!There are some SWEET roads here....just begging to be carved!

Track day was GREAT fun. Tires were great. Bike is MUCH too big for this track (Miller Motorsports west track). Stayed in 2nd and 3rd gear all day. Thinking about getting a 600 or a literbike for the track and using the 14 for the road.

This was the first time I had scraped my boot on the ground in a turn. That was a bit unsettling, but very cool. Track surface was great, and the track was very wide. MUCH more fun than riding on even the best canyon or mountain twisties.

I'd recommend a track day to anyone who hasn't done it yet and who likes to go fast... -bg

I'd strongly recommend race rubber for the track,
that and a smaller/lighter bike.

Here's my 08 gsxr 750 in full race trim

Hi, Mass!

Yes, I'm looking for a new bike for the track now, I guess...

Yours is beautiful!

How tall are you, and is this model OK for taller riders?

What tires do you use for the track?

Thanks! -bg

I'm 6'1 and around 170 lbs. in shorts- for street riding the 750 will be painfull,
especially with the rear sets adjusted in the the highest and furthest back point as I have mine.
However it is an excellent "track only" machine- makes noticeably more power than a 600 cc and only weighs
a couple of lbs. more.
I use Pirelli rubber at the track- any of the race softs will give you exceptional grip,
my sets are usually in the sc1 front and sc2 rear.

I would use it for track only, so the pretzel-bending factor won't be a major problem, I guess.

Thanks, Mass! -bg

bg,

if you are interested in a track only 600 or 750,
this is the best place to get a killer deal on one:
Your text to link here...

Your other option is to put a lot of $$$ into converting a street bike and putting it in race trim.
Some of the bikes that I see on the Wera forums sell for less than what the aftermarket parts alone
on them are worth!

Have the ST's Mounted.
Works great on cold&wet
Going to give them one hell of a ride the next two weeks..
First going Oslo - Brussels, then Brussels - Nurburgring, giving them a good beating round the Nordschleife
(best BTG last year 8.23).
Then Autobahn back home. to Norway.
I'll give you an update afterwards.

Got the STs put on today. When I got it back it was time for me to head to work. I drove it home about 2 miles and they felt good. I will have more later.
