I have to admit, this thing is pure eye candy even by Italian standards and at a price of around $13,000, right in line with the competition.

Owning one of these makes a lot more sense to me than the Panigale, it's prettier for one and costs half of what the 1199 costs.

In typical MV fashion, even the details have details, although the word is, this MV had some cost cutting going on to meet the price point.

Early road tests are saying the motor is stunning and handling incredible, in no small part due to a 406 lb wet weight. MCN reported it is a racebike with lights pure and simple, tiny, loud and angry, born and bred for the track.

I've read that the gearbox is notchy, and the Quick Shifter doesn't work well. Suspension is Sachs/Marzocchi which is probably not my first choice.

I would love to have one of these but will have to wait and see how reliable they are. MV's are always stunning lookers but hard to live with, like an Italian mistress...lol!

Look at the crisp lines and detailing on these parts, the closer you look, the better they look.

What I don't understand is, how, with such attention to detail, the bikes have such a lousy reliability record? Must be the electronics are made from recycled pasta products.

MV really does detail a machine like no one else on the planet but check out the initial ride reports on YouTube, notchy transmission, missed shifts and fueling glitches that ruin drivability everywhere but at race pace. I'd probably have to just say no until they can get this bike sorted.

Here's the up-spec ORO F3 at double the price of the base model, $27,000. With a total production run of the hundred bikes, the chances of running into another one on bike night is about as likely as being struck by a meteorite. The guys that buy these kinds of bikes are typically way wealthy and like exclusive things, this is one of them!

Yup...exclusive is right.That thing's...well....unique for sure.Tom Cruise would be first in line I think...he got that other one...that Ducati...the fast one....the expensive one.One of the very few people in the US to own one.I think his was running at around 500K...something along those lines.

If I had a spare $27,000 lying around I'd get on the short list....but I don't so I'll just have to drool. That thing is superlight and with the reverse rotation crank it's supposed to handle effortlessly.

I'd like to try an exotic but I've been spoiled by Jap bike reliability, those bikes are a lot of maintenance and too expensive to park I'n the living room and stare at.

That thing is made to ride......hard!

Brad Pitt has one also. The Desmos are beautful bikes but the new Panigale will most likely outperform it. A lot of folks think the Desmo was a GP8 with lights, not true, not one part will fit off the GP bike, Desmos were a clean sheet design for the street. I can only imagine getting replacement parts is an ordeal as they are mostly hand made.

MVs are the most beautiful bikes made I'n my opinion but the ergos are like a torture rack and getting after sale support is almost non-existent. If it breaks, it sits!

I agree they are gorgeous, but the F3's have gotten some mixed reviews from the articles I've read. Some glowing and some not so much.

I think Alan Cathcart liked it and I trust his opinion but a few others have said not quite ready for prime time. Punishing ergos, poor suspension action and fueling glitches topped the list. Three things everyone agreed on, the bike handles sublimely on a track, the exhaust note is symphonic and the bikes looks are drop dead gorgeous.

MV apparently had to cut some corners to meet a price point and they overloaded the machine with high tech electronics it doesn't really need. I mean C'mon, TC on a Supersport?
