I bought it on Feb 6th and it got stolen on March 9th. The sorry mf's came and took it while I was out of town for the weekend and out of my garage I might add. There must be some shit around where they can clone your garage opener signal because all the neighbors said when they got up Friday morning the garage door was wide open and they did't see a motorcycle. I'm just sick on the stomach right now and all of you can surely understand. I don't even know what else to say. This is the first time I have ever dealt with something like this and it's not really the bike but the fact that some sorry ass thought it was ok to take something that I paid for and what' s harder for me to swallow is that I may know of them and see them again and not even know it....I'm gonna get another in abt 30 days, take care of your machines people and lock them up and trust no one!!!!!! Sorry to hear that your bike was stolen. That is my favorite color of all the zx14's, and yours was definately done up right. I know how you feel. I had a 1987 LX 5.0 mustang stolen from me in 1994. I had poured a lot of time and money getting it like I wanted. Won a lot of tropies at car shows and such. The worst part was the way the police treated me when I reported it. They acted as if I had something to do with it. Hopefully they will catch the sorry a$$ that did this to you. They never caught the guy that stole my mustang, maybe you will have better luck.

2 years ago some shit bags paid my house a visit in the night to steal my 07 Candy Plasma Blue but I had stored it in my house and they thought it was out in the shed and took the lock off my gate and jimmied the window to the shed and came up empty handed.

If I had heard those sorry MF the last thing they would have heard is a Sig P228!!!

One of my boys has no luck they robbed his 08 Atomic Silver 14 and when he got the money from insurance he bought a R1 and the next year they robbed that....Like DOGO said All Thieves Must DIE!!!

Bike theft is huge down here in FL but I’m glad my bike is never far because it is my only transportation but I have had quite a few people walk up to my bike where I work in the middle of the night and they run like hell when I open the door with a baseball bat in hand and ask them what the F#@K are you doing and I gave up on calling the cops to describe the suspect because the cops just don’t care!!And sorry about your loss!

I had a ZX9 stolen. Then the ZX10 that replaced it. I discovered both times geared up to go somewhere, and had a WTF moment when there was no bike present. The topper was having to wait almost 2 months for damn insurance company to issue check. Said it was to make sure there was no fraud involved. Was almost as pissed at them, as I was the fooker that stole it.

Am paranoid now about where I park, etc.

Sorry to hear Joseph. Know exactly how you feel. My 07 14 was stolen two years ago and i didn't have insurance. Fortunately you can replace your ride in a month or so. I had to save up for two years before i could get a new 14.

Sorry for your loss. Yours is also my favorite color. Living in Philadelphia, one of the top crime-ridden cities in the nation, getting a bike stolen is also one of my main concerns.

Yeah, Scottjkyl I'm definitely going with a lojack or some sort of tracking system this time around. I'm kinda glad that I didn't have one because the way I felt, if I would have found them stripping my bike or just found them with it there's no telling what would've happened..I just thank god that I had good full coverage on it.. @dragking, thanks for the compliment my brother. Yeah, I know they don't do the black and orange yet but maybe I will go with the all black or even the blue. Either way I will be riding in 30 days or less.

Getting my 2000 Heritage stolen was actually the best thing that happened for me.That Harley insurance paid for a brand new zzr1200...course,they didn't know that.But that started me walking into the light!!! Sportbikes Forever!!!!Even left me some over to get kitted up right!I paid...get this...in 2000....16,000 something for a brand new Harley Heritage with the new Twin Cam 88B motor...she was sweet.Piped and breather mods done to her.When they paid for my loss...in 2002...they gave me over 19,000 buckaroos.Worked out pretty good I think.And that insurance wasn't all that expensive either.

For future use, for anyone that has an electric garage opener, there are two things you can do when you will be away a while, or even just over night.

First, change the code often. They've been scanning codes since at least the 1980s, I remember when it started out in California. Many times, someone will scan and then sell the code later. So if you change the code after they scan someone will be pissed at the scanner for selling bogus codes.

The scanner is seldom the person(s) actually doing the theft.

Secondly, many garages have switches for the opener, on the wall, or in my case, the opener plugs into a socket on a joist that is just a heavy duty extension cord, plugged into the wall. So I just pull the plug. Now the garage door isn't going up even with a crowbar, because most electric doors have strong motors and are like pitbulls.

And lojak ain't a bad idea, I may even put it on my Connie.

I'd let the police find my bike, I'm armed and dangerous and I might shoot someone dead in anger.

These things mean a lot to all of us and to have them taken is infuriating.

I have never carried comp on anything. It gets jacked, it is bye-bye. Same thing with a crash. That's me. With the $$ I have, I need to accept the will of God. Right now all 3 of my vehicles are under lien because child support claims that I have not paid over $1500. They can come and tow either of my bikes or both--IDK --and my car. be pretty tough to get to work 33 miles away(irony). I'm trying to straighten this mess out soon but for now, I refuse to let this crap ruin my life. I'm polishing up some busa fairings today, too. I don't care. There is a lot of living to do and it is all wonderful. When its time to be without a bike, it will be time.

5 bikes got jacked last night where I live here in FL 4 of the bikes were my friend’s bikes and I’m so happy I have a job where I can watch my bike at all times! How can we stop this $HIT!?!?!?!?!?
