looking for opinions. As you can see (in my avatar picture) I have the black and green model. I was looking to break up the green a little bit on the side cover by either painting the "knee Guard Side Cover" black and leaving the "fins?" green or just buying the ones off of the 09 monster edition because I'm pretty sure they come already painted but I'm not too sure that the green color is exactly the same. Anyone know if the color is the same? I mean it's ultimately my decision but do yall think it would look good on that color combo? thoughts please. Thanks

If you are good with a rattle can you could do it yourself. For most they will get a professional looking paintjob by sticking with OEM plastics. Check colorright for paint codes. If the green is the same code between the 09 monster and yours, just get 09 covers. If different codes probably not much different color. I think I'd give them a try.

Yea rook I'd much rather go with new ones from kawi since they're cheap and painted but only if it matches. I'm going to check out that site when i get home. I have some connections at some body shops if not.grn14....green strakes?

Yes..you know...I call em strakes...that's just me...the fins...that's what I mean.Strakes are actually color lines on something...but it fits;)Like I call the 'fins' on the 2012's/13's 'tines'.Seems more fitting to me...;)Kinda like a bigass pitchforkLOL!!!out there and ready to reap baby!

Rook, I checked out the site and the colors are slightly diff. :/. I'll probably have to go to a body shop and have them do it.

Hmmm...didn't realize that...I thought I saw a factory set with the black/green paint.An SE model...maybe not...may have been the ones I bought for my 2013LOL!!!!Sheesh...do yerself a favor...don't ever crash!lol.And break yer beautiful Arai;)

Yea grn, the new body style comes in that color scheme but the only one that does in the old style is the monster. Guess they had to make it diff some kind of way. No biggie, I'll get a body shop to spray it and have it professionally done. It'll look like it's from the factory.

The Monster...yes...I thought there was one with those fin colors...thanks...and good luck with those...they are sweet;)
