My last bike was a 93 ZX 11 which I sold in 96. After 17 years the bug has bitten me again, and as far as I am concerned, there is only one motorcycle, which is why I am here.
...so, I'm shopping around, trying to find my best deal in the Memphis area ( Im in north Mississippi )...several 2012's still around, got my jukebox money, fixin' to order a helmet etc.
Yesterday afternoon I call my insurance provider, Nationwide. We have been with them for 20 years or so, house two cars... I'm 53, excellent driving record, great credit, blah blah blah.
They come back with a quote of...get this....4300 a year. I about crapped my pants. They insured my ZX11 back in 93 full coverage and I had a loan on it for 1100 a year and I was 33! This was the same over coverage I had on our cars at the time with a 250 deductable.
Im not sure what I am gonna do. I could pay for the bike outright and just get basic liability and theft, let my health insurance cover the medical aspect... get creative in some ways. I just had no idea...
Anyway, sorry to rant a little in my first post. Have been lurking awhile and decided to register. God may or may not ride a Harley, but Im pretty sure Jesus rides a 14.
