Corbin Peg Lowering Kit

Has anyone used these? I am 6'3" and thought they might be good with the 1" Heli-Bar Riser and Sargent Seat. Any thoughts?

The number one reason I bought the ZX-14 was the comfort thing. My last bike was a Honda CBR 900RR. I saw the Corbin peg lowering kit when I ordered my Corbin seat so I added the kit. The kit delivers as stated and it does make a big difference. I had to re-adjust the brake line but otherwise installation was simple. The only problem I see is that the 80 bucks or so for the plates was a lot of money for what you got. The bolts that they sent were quick to rust and the plates were poorly finished. They needed to be properly powder-coated and not so rough cut. They needed to be ground and finished. The other way to go are the Buel pegs. Riders seem to have good luck with them at half the cost. I don't know much about Sargent seats but I have heard good things about their product. My Corbin seat is really firm and after 30k miles it has not softened. $500+ shipping is a lot for that seat when you consider that a Concoures seat will fit the ZX-14. I don't know how they perform, but they cost a third of the Corbin seat. Good luck.

I got the Corbin peg kit, and put it on for about 2 weeks. They moved the pegs down, which was good, but they also moved them out from the frame about 3/4"- 1" alltogether - didn't work for me. Killed my hips and I was more comfortable with the stock set up. I also have the Heli-bar riser kit.....didn't make a big difference, so it's in the drawer next to the peg kit.

If moving your feet out that far doesn't bother you......I'll make you a hell of a deal on a slightly used Corbin peg kit.....and a Heli-bar kit too!!! Both close to brand new, minus the Loctite residue :)

I didn't have a problem with quality on either one.....although the peg kit wasn't on long enough for me to really comment about how well it held up. Heli-bar kit was on for about a year and no problems, but then it is just a couple spacers and longer bolts.....can't really screw that up!

Let me know if you're interested....or if you have more questions.

I ordered the peg lowering kit when I bought the bike and was told theye are on their way. I just recently got on this forum or I would take you up on the offer. I also purchased a set of handle bar risers before checking with you guys. We shall see what happens.

I fitted then removed the corbin peg kit too. I just didnt like the way it looked or how far out it made the pegs. It made it difficult to paddle the bike backwards without hitting my legs.
