Are these stock bridge stone s20 really that crappy??

I've had my new zx for 2 months today and have 1600 miles on it and these tires already feel like they lost a lot of grip! Especially in the turns. And tire pressure is the same as I always run, don't think I will b buying these to replace them. Man what crap! Anybody else experience this? Can't wait to get some pilot power 2ct on it

I had S20 Evos. Not a fan. IMO poor feedback/road feel. Then downright dangerous/deadly the last few hundred miles especially performance riding.

Stock on my bike were Metzeler Sportec M5 tires and they were horrible too.

Maybe Kawasaki gets a cheaper version of the tires for OEM use.

When my '14 14R was new I did a track day on the stock S20's and had all day fun - no issues at all once they warmed up. The Mich PP 2CTs are much better though

I hate being negative but these Bridgestones were by far the worst tyre I have ever ridden on.
Actually to the extent that they became dangerous towards then end of their short life.
My advise for what its worth?
Stay away from them!

rear tire lasted hardly longer than the front, it was gone at 3500 km
have since switched to Metzeler RoadTec 01... so far so good!

I ran the Pilot Power 2ct on my ZX11 for years and when I got my 14 I ran them on it for several years. Don't get a lot of miles out of them but I do enjoy a lot of aggressive curvy canyon riding. I wanna say I was getting maybe 4-5k miles out of them but that was all the way down to the wear bars. Always felt comfortable with the feedback and how they road.
Recently switched to the Dunlop Q3 to do some track days. To me they feel better that the PP 2ct but less miles out of them. Not so good in the wet but then neither is the 2ct. I have heard the Pilot Road 3 or 4 are better than the 2ct but I haven't tried them.
If you are going to put new tires on go to a 190/55 for the rear and it will help the bike feel quicker and easier in the turn ins and transitioning between corners.

BFG I agree, I honestly can't say I could fairly judge the M5s during the time I owned them. About the most I can say is they seemed to require more steering effort. IMO there are much better tires especially for the wear level and lighter steering effort.
