New ECU option - Haltech T2
09/08/26 8:27 AM

Haltech dropped a new ECU recently that sits somewhere between the now discontinued 750 and 1500 Elites. Its based on the new Nexus platform, and is a much smaller unit that would be easier to hide on a bike, with integrated WiFi for tuning right from your phone and a built in 4bar MAP.

Looks perfect for ZX14s since most of the features it lacks from the bigger 1500 are things that don't matter to us like only controlling 2 VVT cams instead of 4, no DBW support, and runs 1-6cyl instead of 1-8 so no V8s. It also doesn't have a built-in wideband, but can of course take a standard wideband analogue input so can reuse your existing one.

Price is also a few hundred cheaper than the outgoing 1500, and I plan on going this route for my standalone install this Christmas break.

Obviously I'm not sponsored or anything and never actually used it yet so it can be trash, so don't take this as a recommendation, just sharing what I've found.
