A big DOH.
On my part.
With the title, and perhaps the search function, this will help someone who did something STOOOOOPID like I did.
Pulled the radiator off this past winter to install a second fan. No issues this spring and early summer. As the temperatures rose, once done with a ride and the bike parked, the coolant reservoir would overflow dumping it's contents onto the ground.
The bike never overheated, maybe three blocks on the temp gauge max. The system was carefully bled, fans would kicked on, and I couldn't find the issue.
I replaced the radiator cap thinking it wasn't holding pressure.
Still did it.
I was at a loss.
Pulled the lowers off and pulled the shop manual and traced each hose. I was expecting to find a hose crimped, but it was not the case.
I had reversed the two small lines going to the radiator neck from the reservoir and the thermostat.
I installed then as per the manufacturers original plan and the issue has been corrected.
What really scares me is that I recall taping and marking the hoses so that I WOULD NOT SWAP THEM.
DOH!
