"I find it much quicker to go ahead and pull the radiator as well"...yup...much easier..
3RD I always do. When I torque to spec the need to know spec is bang on is a must. Can't do this properly with the ole Wobbly head extensions imo.
Yep easier, but I'm a lazy sob, so long extension and mobile socket adapter
Lol, yep, but you have Wheee Whittle Hands Lmao. Sorry hand to. Tee He

ok im in what's it take to remove the radiator ?
Two bolts, one top left and right. One bolt on bottom of rad support. 3 hose clamps. Most important A Bucket for the fluid. While Rad is off give her a flush. You will be amazed at the fine sediment in the bottom of bucket. Filter when pouring back in. You don't have to do this but I always do.
If you change your mind use cardboard to protect the rad fins. Knuckles have a way of folding them in.
Hope this helps Cheers

thx you Romans for your help, do you know are the rad guards worth the $ or are they a novelty ?
Beauty is in the Eye of the beholder. I never use them. Big girl runs hot enough already so the thought of anything out front does not sit well with me. To date I have never lost a rad any any of my 14's and I do not know of anyone else that has.
What has peeked my interest is the front fender extensions. I see it on my buddies Concourse and this is a exact fit for our 14s. My thinking this will keep more dirt off my Rad keep motor cleaner along with reduced Risk from stones.

The radiator gaurds do there job. I've had one on my zx10 and both zx14's. After getting 2 punctures in my zx10 ive put them on all my bikes. Some of the mountain and back roads we ride have have alot of fine loose gravel and debris.
And stuff gets kicked up when traveling in groups. Better safe than sorry. Been stuck a few hundred miles from home.
You can easily make your own out of some fine gril or mesh screen
