Fuel mileage after Flash?
01/16/14 6:52 AM

Hey guys, for those of you with a flash (cblast, Romans, etc) and a pipe, or those of you with a pipe and a PCV, what is your setup (what pipe/what flash) and how did it effect your fuel mileage? I know you dont buy this bike for fuel economy or expect those upgrades to improve your mileage but I am curious to hear the results.

My mileage went down as soon as I added the 2 brothers slip ons, when the bike was new and had the stock exhaust, I thought the fuel gauge was broke first ride after filling up, because the gauge did not move off the full line, (well eventually it did). But you are flowing more gas/air so with a pipe or even slip ons your mileage will go down, with the guhl flash, my mileage really didn't improve over with just the slip ons, will see what happens when I get C blasted !! Mines a CA model, don't know if that means anything at all ...

I've got a 2012 ZX-14R with Muzzy slip-ons and the Brock-Guhl flash. I went on a bike run last year with my State Farm agent. It was about a 250 mile ride. My bike averaged 48.7 mpg, and I even took it up to 170 mph a few times.
I had an 06 ZX-14 before the 012 ZX-14R and the ZX-14R gets about 10 mpg more than the 06 ZX-14. I love this bike.

M4 Retro Drag Slips and the CBlast flash. Flawless combo! Economy average is up about 20 miles per tank.

20 miles per tank, did you ask Cblast to put that thing in milkshake mode?

Reading Smatlocks comment again I see he is saying he got an additional 20 miles per tank not 20 miles per tank total. My bad- I just had lasik eye surgery and the screen is pretty tough to read at the moment. Good to know. I am trading my Daytona 675 for a zx14 soon as the weather clears long enough for me to get the bike over to the dealer. I have PM'd cblast for flash info and will probably be going with the brocks ct duals or single. Not sure which yet but I'm leaning towards duals. Anybody had or personally seen/heard both?

What did you guys pay for your ct duals? Where's the best deal, direct?

with just two brothers slip ons my average was always 36.5 after I installed pc5 with dynotune map from there website a week or so later its up to 36.8 so I think it is getting better, I mean it was on 36.5 for so long I was startin to think it was stuck on those numbers, but just 250 to 300 miles later its always sayin 36.8 , o and by the way the pc made a very big improvement in throttle response and more power. and was sooo easy to install! I don't remember what my average was before the slipons, was too long ago
