Well I finally got my Akrapovic headers back from the ceramic coaters and installed on the bike. They are a thing of beauty, and will hold their shine now. I can definitely say that they have changed the way in which power is delivered. It actually feels smoother, and if I had to guess, I'd say more powerful too. I haven't been able to pin down the difference in operating temperature yet, but logic dictates they'll be keeping more of the heat inside the headers than around them on the engine. The weather here is not ideal for full noise cornering, but I had the front wheel consistently dancing coming out of corners in 3rd gear at 6 - 7000 RPM while still on the edge of my seat. Giiddyupp!!!
Took a couple of pics to show the fit and finish. After a good ride on Sunday, the finish is still the same as the bottom pic on the headers and the link pipe.
