BAZAZZ TC system....anyone got one?
03/24/13 2:07 AM

Greatings,
I cant afford a new ZX14 with the traction control system so I am trying to find the next best thing. I have been having a look at the bazazz traction control system and was wondering if anyone out there has one of these on their ZX14 and if so what do they think of it?

Sure your right hand is your traction control but I was hoping for a little electronic backup.

Cheers

OZ

I'd love to get one just because it's cool and because the quickshifter capability is second to none.

I've survived without TC this long. IMO, if you are wanting TC to help out in cornering the 14, I don't think it is as important as some smaller bikes. I've scraped my exhaust in cornering but really never had any tire drifting. That is more an issue in cold weather sport riding for me and TC is not necessary to tell me conditions are simply not good. I'd love to have it for the clutchless upshifting and the TC would be a nice bonus.

Make sure you can get a good map or tune for Bazzaz. Tuners are less familiar with that than PCs. Bazzaz makes an auto tuner called Z-Fi. I have one for my busa (which has the basic Z-AFM without TC). Have not installed it yet but looks like it will work just like Dynojet's Autotune.

Have the same problem with my HM quickshifter at peak rpm. You can't be fickle on the shift lever or it migh do this:

I have thought about switching shift star too. IDK if increasing the sensitivity is the answer. It may just allow the shift to miss at a lighter touch of the toe. Someone recently called my attention to clutchless upshifts working great with GP reverse shift pattern. Stands to reason. You lay down in a tuck and there is a lot of resistance to lifting your toe. Would be a LOT smoother to push down. You can see in the second half of the vid my shifts are missing when I am tucking lower.
