Isn't that fairing below the exhaust just for aesthetics? Thinking of removing it and wondered who thought it looked better that way. I noticed Wee had removed his, looked pretty good, probably saves a pound or two. Just curious...

Most aftermarket exhausts or a centerstand necessitates removing it anyway.

Took the belly pan off after a year. Got tired of it. I think it looks better without. Have an aftermarket zaust and kickstand now----guess it is a good thing i prefer the without belly look.
I doubt it matters at all for performance especially if it is true that aftermarket systems are designed to fit w/out it. Seems as though it may improve aeros for top speed but the thing weighs 1.25 lbs which would seem likely to negate any improvement.

haha, cool! Rook and his ever-present scale...it is pretty neat to see the actual weights of the parts! I do like the look better without the fairing as well. Guess I'll have to test the aerodynamics above 150 soon...
