Hello everyone,
Chris here from Albuquerque NM. I just bought my 2007 ZX14 a few days ago, I love it! I could use some help with a few items:

1. Air cleaner changeout: I looked at the manual, and they sure don't make it easy to follow. The cross reference so many times it makes my head spin. I also watched a video by a ZZR owner. I understand it is below the tank cover, but it is not clear to me if the farings need to be removed as well. I suspect they do, but wanted to confirm.

2. I have a single Muzzy exhaust and get some popping/backfiring on decel that I would like to get rid of. I do not have a power commander, but do have a GIPRO ATRE/Indicator installed. I saw some posts about blocking one of the vacuum hoses to the throttle bodies, anyone done that who could step me through it?

3. Any forum owners live in ABQ? If so, please get in touch with me, thanks!!!!

"stickie " in HOW-TOs section. The air cleaner element change tutorial is the link at the very top of the list. Yes, You need to remove fairings but there is a tutorial on that too.

The blocking of the clean air hose will help but probably not eliminate the decel pop. There is a tutorial on blocking the PAIR And also one on removing and installing blockoff plates. You will find that in the list of links I provided above. Blockoff plates are no more effective than blocking the hose. Get to like the pop. I love it! You can controll it by easing off the gas in normal street riding but for sport riding, bbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrPOPbrrrrrrrr. It's cool. If you need help with the PAIR PM me or better, start a thread or ad to an existing one. If I don't see the thread just PM me and tell me where it is located so I can answer there.

Thanks. I got through the filter change today. Just needed to figure out which fairing parts needed to come off. I will check the tutorials on the other. Thanks!
