I'm glad to say that a buddy of mine just picked up a 2013 ZX after going for nice ride on my bike.
He showed up at the house with the his new steed and a box with a PC5 and Brock's full exhaust, we installed all the parts and then went for a ride.

My friend did the same. Got a 2012 black beast after riding mine. Got rid of his CBR 1000. He's happier than a pig in slop.

He told me that as much as he loves the bike...the break in period is really testing his self control
I told him not to worry too much about babying the bike and to just ride it normal, we put about 230 miles on it already, he also added a solid Puig windscreen and red wheel stripes.

That's a nice red color; a real beauty.
Methinks you both need better tires though! Do you still have originals on the blue?
Happy trails; must be nice to have a close bud to ride with who has the same preferences.

Thanks Paul, yes my ZX only has 1700 miles... so tires are stock Metzeler M5 but are being replaced with the Pilot Power3 once these wear out.

I think you will see an exhaust comparison in the near future, as far as sound differences between them, The Akra is much more sub-due vs the Brock's wich is more in your face and sounds a little hollow to me.
He's got the Brock's Alien head exhaust, but wont know his numbers until it's broken in and has it Dynoed at the same shop I did (see my post) http://www.zx14ninjaforum.com/messages.cfm?threadid=07660AF2-D56B-84E2-1C4F488339F3A242

The Alien is a screamer for sure. IMO the CT is between that and the Akrap just perfect in my opinion but I'm biased.
