Ok heres the scoop. Power commander and HID ballasts/ignitors are not compatible Hid wins this battle lol
heres what I mean, had the pc mounted on the left ram air tube right next to the high beam HID ballast and ignitor now the only way I noticed I was having a problem was because every time I turned on my highs my lcd would go blank I'd have to unplug and plug it back in for it to come back on Ive been putting up with it for 2 seasons now and decided to relocate the pc to the battery box and now I have no issues. So I'm thinking the hid's kill the pc for a split second, now does it boot your loaded map also? That I don't know. just an fyi for those who have the similar set up

Move the hid from hi beam to the low beams and put some distance between the PC..that should do the trick.

Thanks for heads up. I was wondering how much truth there was to the claim that locating modules and wiring within close proximity may cause interference. I guess it can happen.

As long as you have them stored in your laptop no worries.My computer crashed so bad I lost everything.Only had the Brocks map I was running.Bought a new laptop and had to download Acrobat reader so it could open the files.Put a map from the list in so I could save The Brocks street map.Need to get a thumbnail drive to save all these maps.Going to get a dynotune and I definetly want to back it up.

audio all my maps are in a folder in my hotmail account lol just emailed them to myself

Rook, what I believe Scott meant by losing the map was not that it was erased, but maybe changed from one to another when it rebooted.
