I need some schooling on GPS, looking for a simple hand held unit to check my speedometer accuracy. What's a good unit and what is the accuracy expected?

I just use my phone and google maps. So far I have not run into any issues. (iphone6)

Kruz, Download a free 'speedometer' app from itunes or the google play store... the one I have gives a big, easy to read number. GPS accuracy is very good.

After 3 seconds of full throttle, everything else on the road becomes 'Oncoming Traffic'...

+1 I have compared my tablet's readings with my parent's Garmin, and so far they match up.

Thanks, I'll try the speedometer app first. My concern is I have several bikes and none of the speedometers seem to match.

I have used the speedometer as aegisranger suggested. Matched my Garmin in car perfectly
