Interesting, but apples and oranges.
The Muzzy exhaust used is Muzzy's premier system, they don't have another one for the zx14 which shows better performance.
The SMEG is NOT Brock's highest performance exhaust for the zx14, the CT-DUAL is, and it makes a couple more horsepower than the Muzzy 14 on the *same* bike.
Either way, the difference makes absolutely no diffence to anyone in this forum except the couple of bonafide drag racers we have. To them, 3 horsepower matters.
So buy what you like, and don't worry if its 161.8 or 163.2 RWHP because you can't tell the difference on the street or in the mountains.
Tires make more difference, lol.

The guy with the Muzzy pipe (Sticks'nStones) is well over 300 lbs. ,
doubt that his rwhp is an advantage against someone who's 185 lbs. fully suited (like myself).
His bike is a freak though- it made 5 rwhp with an exhaust swap with another 14,
proves ones again that not all oem is created equal.
It made more power with the Muzzy against Gilbert's 06 14 with the Alien Head too.
The 08 gen2 is to be expected to be down on power with just bolt ons, it's down
anywhere b/n 7 and 9 rwhp in pulls stock vs stock against a gen1, we've known that
for 2 years now.
Don't forget other very simple bolt ons such as Velocity Stacks and different air filters,
or simply running a better suited map for the conditions during the dyno pulls- that could
easily result in 5 rwhp difference. We don't know anyone's exact set up.

Wow, the 80,000 Duc did not make the big #'s and 0W/20 oil gained what exactly ?????
Nope not at all the 1098 with the term pipes did better not sure what’s up with that Desmo. The Duct 1098 impressed me it pulled 148 and 90 ft lbs. Put a stock zx14 on that dyno on that day and it would have been very close between the two bikes in terms of peak HP numbers. My favorite part of the video “man this dyno reads low" ahhh....yeah its SAE.. ahhhh oh... ok.LOL

Your point in asking must be "why not buy the most powerful bike if you insist on buying the most powerful exhaust system?" I relate to that.
Regardless of what I may have initially thought about appearance, the pipe that I would buy would be the one that made the most hp.....assuming the below peak hp performance and the weight was fairly similar between the two pipes. Performance comes first over looks.
A few hp doesn't make a big dif. I'm not so sure that 10 hp makes all that much dif in how the bike feels at peak hp. 170 hp is only a 6% increase over 160hp. Maybe the 170 will run a few tenths of a second faster 1/4 miles but I doubt anyone would appreciate that if they never saw a time ticket. Even so, I want to know i have the most power and best overall performance I can get. That's the goal for now and modding is too expensive to screw around with anything less than the best.

not if it means sacrificing low end power and or a high decibel like brock exhaust.
