Was on a rode trip last week with my friends from work to Deals Gap in Tenn from Fl. They were on Harleys or Goldwings. This was my 50th birtday weekend so I wanted to run some roads that actually had turns. Had a great time. On the way back I wanted to test the legs on the Ninja. So with a Road King and a Gold Wing in Tow we set out heading for home. I had to keep the speed around 77 because the Harley didn't like to go any faster. Every time we stopped for gas the Goldwing guy wanted to know when we were stopping for the day, I would tell him we would decide the next stop. At one stop they asked me what I thought about the hailstorm we went through.. I honestly thought that it was just big raindrops making my ears ring through the helmet. So when I pulled into home the final tally was 640 miles for the day.

About 11 hours

Every time we stopped for gas the Goldwing guy wanted to know when we were stopping for the day,

Jeff, from this I would assume they took some ribbing from the one and only guy on a sports bike. Good one.

Oh yeah...The really funny part was that the Gold Wing guy and a couple of the Road King guys thought they could stay with me on the Dragon or any of the twisties up there.. I actually let them for a while...But finally the devil took over my throttle hand and I gave them a small lesson in handling and acceleration...Not much competition.. But these guys actually thought (especially the Gold Wing guy) that because he has a car engine in his bike that he would pull better than the 14 and that he could handle the roads better... I also have a Fatboy and an Ultra Classic... So I know what the Harleys will do...The Road King guys actually did a great job (for an antique and inefficient bike) of handling the roads

next time you are out with the Goldwing guy and he starts talking shit tell him if he disengaged the autopilot and turned down the radio he might have a chance and keeping you on his radar screen lol

For some reason I find I can always go further on a road with some interesting corners, sounds like your the same
