Engine Warning light coming on.

The yellow engine warning light is coming on, and it stalls once in a while WTF its a brand new bike !

Anyone have any problems like this ? it goes off when I shut it down, then after I start it, it comes on again at different times, taking it to the dealer as its still under warranty. CRAP !

Probably just a sensor malfunction. Are you getting an error code in diagnostic mode?

Didnt mess with it, just took it to the dealer since its under warranty

They said it wasnt throwing out any codes, they said one of the battery terminals was a little loose, I told them to take it for another long ride, I dont want it stalling on me, especially when cars are coming behind me ....

Sometimes shit happens. Glad it wasn't anything major. Loose terminal sounds pretty plausible though.

Ive had my dash go haywire after the carwash was going for a longer ride but engine light was lit, trac was flashing with the power mode ? i stopped turned off then started same thing! got to my local around the corner near home for my Sunday Mail,put key back in fired her up all was back to normal,I went through the same senaro again after another Car wash! same again Key taken out! restart alls good again so I deduce that the left hand switch gear is pretty sensitive to moisture.

2006 CBR1100xx with a few mods + V Star 1300A Cobra swept exhaust,Fi2000 EFI,Big air kit, Rad cover/Guard,Forward controls/pegs,Pillion mini boards,screen,rack,Saddleman seat a few chrome bits.

same thing on mine . dealer didn't toghten the battery cable. i took pics of the loose cable and went back and raised hell . it put me off the road for a moment, well a few minutes until i tightened it.

Car wash pressure will get yer baby if yer not careful..bearings also.Use care when 'washing' with those pressured sprays.

Nah it,s the hand pressure washer lol only use the auto Car one for my X-trail

Did the engine light come on ? and did it stall and start back up, and do it again ? I havent had a chance to take it out yet since getting back from dealer

You have to remember with these bikes...they remember the 'last code' until it 'straightens out'(if it does)...usually something minor and a few restarts get it cleared again...they can however go back into the ECU/can...and check EVERY code there...it's built into the bike.Whoever said they couldn't or whatever...they don't really know.Argue or go somewhere else.This bike had a great built in 'get you home' capability...long as it's not something TOO serious.yours restarted...so i THINK THAT WOLD QUALIFY FOR...'LIMP MODE' AS hUB USED TO SAY.

I did notice..if the coolant level is off...the bike will respond with an 'engine light'...maybe want to recheck your fuids there.
