Hi Jake. Congrats on being a new owner of the greatest looking 14 ever built! I have one too, bought new in 2008. Crashed it a few years back but I intend to refurbish it or get a new used one like you did. Maybe I'll do both! The wreck can be my experimental wrenching bike. I don't know how long it would be before I could ride it again. I bought a new 14R a few months ago. It's stored now and I haven't taken a bike out of storage until summer for 14 years. I can understand your excitement to ride though. I rode my MS Blue 08 until early January the first year I owned it. It hadn't snowed in Milwaukee but the temperatures got below freezing. I put on my snowmobile gloves and rode the new bike.

Yes, it's quiet around here for the last several years but it's the only place I go for ZX-14 information. ...ok, I admit, I have gone to hayabusa.org a few times with questions about my 14! I always reported back here. We get the information one way or another.
