Not so fast! Life is about having fun!

You don't need the fastest production bike in the planet to have fun.

As I've already mentioned HERE, I spent last weekend hanging out with a great group of motovloggers; about 55 people riding 600's, 750's, and liter bikes. Even a kid from Ottawa, Canada, riding a 2005 GS-500 twin made the trip and joined us in Long Island. It goes without saying, this was one of the most fun motorcycle rides I've been involved in a while.

Live life today because tomorrow is not promised.

Well, I'm ok then because my bike is on the planet, not in it...fortunately.

Well that settles it, next time I ride I'm going to see if I can get my ZX into at least a low Earth orbit.

Yes you do!

Lol, It was refreshing to see these guys have tons of fun during this ride and not worry about who was riding the fastest or have the most HP.

A most civil group I must admit. No one was in clown mode while riding, or maybe you have too many NY LEO's?...

... "low Earth orbits?" That's hilarious

After a group of bikers beat up that guy in NYC last summer, every time a big group of bikers gather in New York City, they better make sure they follow the rules and have their papers in order.

Nice ride video. Sometimes the group rides that are slow and behaved can be so much fun.

I agree.

These guys are motovloggers, their adventures are documented on Youtube. They would be naïve to break the law upload videos while doing so. Those videos would be used against them as evidence.

Walrus (I call him) had a lot of floor traffic and that was besides your group. Cha Ching$$$ Must have all his money in shirts, because it sure was his taste in chop bikes or his son's.

Funny thing is I can't stand anything related to that show. I've never watched any of those programs, and that includes Sons of Anarchy. And Cha ching is right, t-shirts and anything sold inside the store was VERY expensive. But it was a great day to ride, I had a great time.

I like to ride with others no matter how fast but there will definitely be a moment of madness here and there.

When riding spirited, 3 or four riders are about perfect. Any more than that limits the fun.

Yep, different strokes for different folks. Give me the power, the handling and all of the fun that goes with it. In large groups you have to keep it real for the majority. As Jimmy said, in small groups of like minded riders..... BRING IT ON!

I don't know if Kruz will happen across this thread so I'll tell his story for him. He just hooked up with a group of riders by coincidence. while he was on the road by himself, he saw them and just decided to join in. I think he ended up in a pack of about 20. They did top speed runs over a bridge out in the boonies for an hour. 1 or 2 at a time, over and over. Someone had a radar gun to clock them. Sounded like a blast. So, I guess if you find a group of the right (or perhaps wrong) riders, you might need to step up the pace.

In the past I have enjoyed group riding, but my preference has always been to ride solo. I usually stay out of trouble when I ride alone. And I hate riding the New Jersey Turnpike when I travel to New York. Good news, the road is flat and straight, bad news, highway patrols and unmarked police cars everywhere.

Where are the people on this forum telling you to get a moped!?

Lol, have you ever heard of "tongue-in-cheek"? Mopeds are some of the most fun around. Ever ridden a 2014 Honda Grom 125?

I hear you Grn. I rarely ride in a group, mainly because motorcycling is my "me" time and it's for getting away from it all. Riding solo is about freedom for me. There's nothing like jumping on my bike and riding around with no set plan just to escape for awhile. Going solo means going where I want when I want how fast or slow including stopping whenever I feel like it. Though there are always exceptions, and I might do the group thing in the future with this group of motovloggers.
