It almost looks easier to drop the engine to get to the valve cover than figure out how to get it out of the bike with engine still in there.
I think the bike has beaten me down to where I am tired.

You should see what the Gen2 looks like under there. I already got rid of the evaporative emissions clutter. The PAIR is next and it's a doozie compared to the Gen1.

If you remove the PAIR, it all starts to look more doable. I don't think I had to remove the throttle bodies but I know I did the first time I took the valve cover off. There's still little room to lift the cover off. I suggest covering it all in painters tape before lifting it out because there's no way you're not going to scuff it against the underside of the air box.

I'm glad you're enjoying the old 14. I've started acquiring used fairings for my 08. Not a whole lot of money has been put into it at this point. I'd still give your 08 a good home for the rest of my days if you think you might want to sell. Name your price.

It has had Ivan's pair plates on it for the last 10 years so I can see in one side and out the other. I really do not enjoy riding it that much anymore and it is half torn apart so it just sits with around 6500 miles on it. Seems like all I ride anymore is the harley and one of the few times I hop on the FJR it feels like a turbo bike compared to the harley.
