Poll result: POLL: Is this website slow?

Saw a comment about the website being slow. It isn't for me, but thought I'd ask. If you have a broadband connection, how do you find the speed of loading pages here, compared to other websites you visit regularly?

Very fast ( 6 votes - 20.00% )
Pretty good ( 18 votes - 60.00% )
About average ( 5 votes - 16.67% )
Kind of slow ( 2 votes - 6.67% )
Extremely slow (0 votes - 0%)

I'm asking this question because we can move it to a faster server if we need to.

Thanks for your feedback on this... -bg

Fast enough, For the extra cost involved I wouldn't worry about it.

Speaking of cost, where can we donate to the forum to help out.

I may be new to the site, but I believe this site definitely works very well. It's not the fastest, but with the simple interface it doesn't need to be. Honestly, I don't mind it not being the fastest since it's very easy to navigate and very user friendly.

I avoid, or don't visit very often, other motorcycle sites because of all the bells and whistles that detract from the overall information exchange - even though they are "faster."

Thanks, heathun.

This has come up before, so maybe I'll set something up that can handle this. I appreciate the thought... -bg

Lot Faster than MacRumors and that is a computer site.

I don't have any problem with the speed. Photo u[load is the only thing that takes a little time but no biggy.

BTW, how do you embed video from youTube to a post on this site?

No problem with speed here BG! Yes, the bike and the site. Get a paypal thing going. I would think that would be the easiest way...unless of course, you have to pay to use paypal.

Great site! The only time it seems slow is when you search for something.

No problems, BG, but as jetson says, if you search for an old topic, it is slow. Patience, I suppose!

Yes. I guess I'd be slow, too, if I had to search through almost 40,000 messages for something -bg
