Back on the road w/refinished wheels and coated header.

Finally got it back together.
Had the wheels powdercoated and polished and the header ceramic coated. Blacked out some more hardware (PC). Installed the Cox radiator guard. Still have a bit to do some other time.
About the only other "big" thing left I plan to do is to get the formans painted to match the metallic black. That would make the bike look better.

One more angle. Trying to show the wheels finish better but the contrast of gloss black and polishing doesn't show that well in the pics.
Somehow I forgot to put the bolts for the rear/under fairing in the bag for PC'ing. I plan to black out some more stuff later so it can wait. Installing the Cox rad' guard was kind of a PITA. Very close fit in the upper area and difficult to center just right. But at least the radiator is safer now. As far as I know the guard doesn't restrict any significant amount of air flow.
One other thing I want to do later is make some screens for the openings in the fairing. I've found something to use but don't know how I'll attach it yet. Has to be secure but easily removable of course.

Great looking ride!
Did you strip the wheels, polish, then cover with a clear powder coat?

Thanks for the replies.
On the wheels, the polished areas were done first. Then they masked off the brgs, rotor mounting surfaces, and outer rim areas. Then they powdercoated the entire centers. Last, they used a chemical to remove the PC from the previously polished areas. A lot of "finger" work done on them. A bit more labor intensive than normal.
I thought they would mask off the polished areas of the "spokes", as they did the outer rim areas but that would be even more work. I'm surprised the method they used allowed the polished end of each spoke to come out as I asked. Each spoke ends in a kind of flared triangle.
They did a great job. Astro's Polishing/Powdercoating in North Hollywood.
