So I pulled the trigger...
07/29/14 2:36 PM

finally caved in and got the Brocks alienhead 2 for my 14R...just ordered today....with PCV and Brocks street map....

I have delkevic slip ons and Ivans reflash, but I feel there is more, the reflash definitely helped...I really like the dual look, but the power is what I need...I like the delkevic slip ons, great for the money, but need more...

plus the chain will be easier to clean

is there a big difference going from slip ons to full? I know its been beat to death lol

this is the pipe I ordered

my bike now:

hate to say it to another member but, "TOLD YOU SO!"

You'll definitely feel it in the upper powerband. i never had slipons. I went from OEM to a 4-2-1. I'd never get anything BUT a full system again though.....not unless maybe the stock header was titaneum and very performance oriented like the 10r's header. I also grew to prefer the look of a single muffler pretty quick.

Very nice good luck with the pipe!

I've been trying to get in touch with you, are you going to be able to make the 2nd annual meet and greet this Saturday?

Rook, after reading your threads, I should've known better lol, and the funny thing is, I knew I was gonna be
"that guy" eventually....why spend all this money on the bike and not get the full exhaust...the slip ons really make no difference in power you can feel, just weight loss, looks, and sound to be honest..at least the slipons I have were only around 500 and not 1000 like some....I should have just done it from jump...

...the reflash I felt a difference for sure... and I cant wait to receive the Brock's and get it on, hopefully notice a nice improvement...

Black, unfortunately have to work this weekend so I won't be making it....I will definitely try for next year....it sucks I was looking forward to it...hope you guys have an awesome ride!

and it has arrived....

but have a question with installing the PCV on the 14R... do you need to hook up the wire for gear position sensor with posi-tap to the gear position plug regardless if you are running the quickshifter or not?? My ECU is reflashed if this makes a difference...

I must say the system is beautiful for the money, everything fit together perfect outside the box...

ecu flash makes no difference. You still need to hook up wire for gear position sensor weather or not you use quick shifter.

Finally ordered mine yesterday. Same deal, but black with the "Stupid Fast" logo plate.

Sounds like yours arrived quickly. I hope mine does the same! I got ground shipping, though; don't know if you paid for quicker shipping.

Thanks BlkCasper

I got ground shipping, came in 2 days(I am in NY)....I was very impressed with the quality, I used to be an Akra guy, also had M4 and Yosh systems and Hindle

Hindle always made very good quality pipes, and built to Brock's specs, the tubing diameter he chose you can see is for power, and the system is light as hell, I can't wait to put it on...everything slipped together without wd40 so far, and was nice and snug...I can't even imagine how light the CT systems...but for stainless steel, this system is very very light in general....feels like a ti system...the Alienhead seems to be a great buy...

It was a tossup between this and the Muzzy M10 which is a sweet setup, I went with this setup because in my opinion the quality to me on the Brocks exhaust is slightly better from what I saw, but you pay just a few bucks more for it, and the mapping from Brock's is phenominal from what I've seen on the dyno....

I should have probably done this from jump....I was also considering the Akrapovic single side system which is phenomenal as well, the dual Akra is not my cup of tea...so far I'm glad I gave this a try...

I was going to go with a dual CT, but figured the Alienhead was the best bang for the buck and it looks really good....

the Brocks PCV street mapping is awesome. I've had custom maps that were spot on before, this one is perfect everywhere. works great with the Ivan's reflash. no popping and i didn't install the PAIR. Finally got it installed this weekend, I really took my time with it and first ride was finally today...you can really feel a difference...nothing usually impresses me. this bike needs a good full system like this one....Brock's did a great job for the 14R...you gain everywhere with this setup...driveability is perfect....I should have just got the full system in the first place....the power now is insane...and I am not the person who needs to justify my purchase...

these bikes needs a reflash, good mapping, and a good full system to unlock their potential....slip ons save weight,, and for looks and noise...power is in the headers
