Amazing ZX-14 agility video!
04/05/11 11:30 AM

This guy has some amazing skills and proves the 14 is pretty nimble for a big bike.

I watched the crash about ten times in a row to see if I could finger out what happened... I think he didn't get back on the throttle quick enough or hesitated. Wish I could risk my bodywork like that. I love agility riding, but not with my prized baby!

That's what I'm thinkin'. Looks like he is running stock gearing, which is uber impressive. Would be much easier with a pizza sprocket.

BTW, been noticing the varius avatar pics. Bike is looking really cool Dogo. I don't suppose you will be doing any gymkhana for a little while. Nope none of us. I'll take my 14 to the track in this the 4th year of ownership. Still prolly be way too careful.

You'd be surprised how well you could do.
When I went to take my performance test to get my cycle endorsement all I had was an old '79 Honda CB550 that had signals that didn't always want to work. Well I couldn't risk flunking the test because of an equipment failure so my buddy let me borrow his '86 VFR750 sportbike. I was 21 and I had never been on a sportbike before, just my CB. So I met him at the test site and he let me use it during the test. I passed with flying colors and the instructor even said he had never seen anyone take the test with a sportbike let alone do it so well. Ever since then I have loved sportbikes. I really dig the agility stuff and have always wanted to setup in a parking lot with cones but never wanted to drop my bikes, lol. I'm chicken I guess to drop the bike.

Does anyone make a cage for the 14? LOL if they did I imagine leaning the bike would be even more unlikely, damn big breasted beast!

I watched the crash about ten times in a row to see if I could finger out what happened... I think he didn't get back on the throttle quick enough or hesitated.

Looks like he turned in too hard and then lifts it back up a few degrees. Perhaps he wasn't able to shift the weight of his body quick enough so it matched the lean angle of the bike. At that low speed and those lean angles, I imagine balance counts for a lot more than high speed.

I could tell people this is me on my bike--lol. Looks like a Midnight Sapphire Blue with Tsukigi exhaust. Only thing, it has the Kawasaki decal on the fairing like the 06 bikes have. Must be color that was made for Japan some time ago. I think I saw this vid back in 09.
