So here's the deal... I want to know what your license plate says. What kind of unique, and creative saying did you come up with? For example mine reads KNGKAW. I'll also sweetin the pot by saying whoever has the best tag will win a new pair of EBC HH rear brake pads(Part # FA254HH oh yea the good stuff). I guess we need to set some ground rules here. In order to qualify you have to post a pic of your personalized tag as confirmation. We need some way to pick a winner, any suggestions? I'm thinking a week is a good length to run this contest, so lets say all entries have to be in by Oct. 12th and we will pick the winner on the 13th.

Is there a legitimate concern about showing your tag? I drive up and down the road all the time showing mine, should I be worried? If someone wants to collect tag numbers all they have to do it walk around a parking lot. Am I just naive about what can be done with your tag number?

Licence plate number= home address= owners name etc.

It's easy to look these things up fellas

But isn't that the same case as if someone saw your bike in a parking lot some where?

I have probably been on motorcycle forums longer than some here.
I can also recall many horror stories about license plates being reported
to 911 for reckless driving and driving to endanger- some people might just
want to f#ck with you a little. Calling the cops in your local town is easy.
Some people might just want to come over and check where you park that bike
at night and how you secure it.
Others may also be interested in the other 3-4 bikes you might have in that
garage, nice cars are welcome too.

License plate on a vehicle gives away too much IMHO.

Re: not showing your tag.... I think it all depends on where you live and where you park your motorcycle.

The fools around my neighborhood periodically park an HD Ultra Classic (the most expensive 2009 model) on the street, as well as a Hyabusa and two other fairly nice HDs. On the street, for many nights in a row.

Guess I have a pretty fair neighborhood, they never get touched. Or the owners are sitting in the yard in a lawn chair with a shotgun all night.

None of the cops (local, state) in my part of the east coast will act on hearsay. You can call them about reckless driving or whatever, but if they don't see it, it didn't happen. At least, at the level of bad driving, to include DUI.

So call away on me, the only thing that will happen is the police 911 operator will issue a citation to you for nuisance calls to 911.

Nice to see that some are not scared to post their tags. I started this thread in hopes of seeing some really creative word play. Personally I think I have the best tag but I was hoping to be proved wrong. So lets get this thing rolling, post your tags.
