I have SBS pads, sintered I think, up front on my 2016 ZX14R SE ABS. They rattle in the Brembo calipers. They work and stop fine, just an annoying noise. Anyone experience this?

The EBC pads I swapped into my '06 rattled, they were a bit smaller in the frame than the stock pad so they moved around when the brake was applied. Not really a rattle but more of a click I could feel only when the lever was applied. The stopped no better than stock.

That sounds like what I have going on. In fact it sounds more like a "clatter". The sounds actually goes away when I lightly apply the front brakes. At first I thought it was coming from the inside of the fairing. My original pads squeaked when I applied the brakes, so this is an improvement in my opinion.

Say one company has a patent on said design. Say the aftermarket makes a copy but the dimension is a mm off so it does not infringe on the original design. Something like that. The sound you're hearing is a happy sign that friction is not dragging the pads on the disc.
