The atmosphere is about 75% nitrogen by volume. If you are concerned about controlling hot tire pressures to within 1/2 psi, pure nitrogen is the way to go. Other than that, it won't do any harm, but it won't make much difference, either. H-D dealerships charge $8 around here to fill a tire with pure nitrogen. Their customers are also willing to pay $600 to have a pair of mediocre tires mounted and they use Harley oil even though no one knows who makes it or what's in the can.

I have a bar here on the Oregon coast and I push all of my draft beer with a combination of CO2 and Nitrogen. I own 3 cylinders that I refill and also use to fill all of my tires on both of my bikes and my truck. The molecules in the Nitrogen are larger and are not as apt to leak and it is an inert gas not as apt to expand.

Thanks Danno cheers 21744

Yeah that's good enough for me + the Brochure said: the main factor that contributes to the degradation of your tyres is the under inflation. Under inflation creates more friction between your tyre & the road resulting increased rolling resistance & as such increased fuel consumption.
