RIP Omaha ZX-14 Rider
06/24/14 9:49 PM

A guy from Omaha was killed yesterday in a head on/hit and run collision. The d-bag in the SUV was drunk and driving the wrong way down the interstate and hit Mick head on early yesterday morning. I didn't know him personally but the news showed a pic of him in front of his bikes......one of them his pride and joy.....a 2009 zx14 that was stretched and appeared to have a turbo. It was just a bad ass looking bike. I am not sure if he was a member of this forum, but, will include a link to the story. He leaves behind a wife and two children. Also, I'm not sure from a forum rules perspective how this would work, but, it would be cool to maybe get a little collection going for his family......sounds like he was a stand up guy. If anyone can enlighten me on if this would be possible that would be great......anyways, here are a couple of links to the story.......

very sad. never heard of any rule against taking up a collection but I'm sure bg would have to handle dispersing the sum or someone would need to be appointed. Would be a nice gesture but it's always possible to send a donation off to the family. If anyone is moved to do so, should be easy to track down a home address.

Very sad. As we push closer to the edge let's remember the family we need to come home to! The word "leaves behind two children..." does not even begin to convey his and their loss!

That is cool that you took a screenshot of him in front of his bikes......appears to be a true Kawi guy. Thanks for doing that Wolfman!!

You brought him to our attention, brotha, we all appreciate that. He is a true representative of all of us. Love's his family, good stand up man and is a man whom enjoys the pursuit of horse power. May he rest in peace and our sympathy to the family.

RIP local guy.

I heard about the wreck (I'm hesitant to call it an "accident" since drunk driving was involved) and that sucks. I didn't realize it was another 14 owner.

Never met him myself.
