Hey there, last summer I made a trip and rode the Dragon, The Blue ridge parkway and a handfull of other nice roads. Probably the best riding I have ever done. This year I am thinking about riding down to the Ozarks, has anyone been in that area that could compare the two? If I am willing to go that far it would seem to make sense to do the same area as last year because it was such a nice ride. I heard good things about the Ozarks as well, what do you guys know.?

I live in the Ozarks. We have some GREAT roads! If you come this way let me know, and I'll make an effort to take you to some of my favorites! If I can't make it I will definitely point you in the right direction.

Tainted, I don't know where your riding from but you got some 14 bros in the Dragon area so check the 2011 Rally Ride thread. A few of us are rollin out in two weeks, then a some others members in May/June....

I am comming from WI, so the ride to the dragon or to the ozarks is about the same for me. I would like to try something different, but then again, I really liked the dragon, blue ridge prkway area.

I have been to the Ozarks once and loved it, I am thinking of going again this year. Basically, draw a diagonal from upper right to lower left across the state and ride the left/upper section.

I've never been to either place but I think you should go for the Dragon again. More often than not, when you really like something, alternatives end up being a disappointment. Where ever you go, tainted, be careful of ALL the little hazards along the way. There's bound to be plenty of them this season. Crappy economy tends to create more hazards.
